Just woke up. Looking at my first cup of coffee (mmmmm . . . coooffffffeeeeee) and it's going to be a good day. The first thing on my morning news feed was a video clip of Cruz hitting his wife in her face. He's turning on a pedestal to hug his uber pater, Rafael, and ends up slugging his wife -- twice. Gotta love that. Maybe Glenn Beck can get an affection slug on the chin if/when he meets up with Cruz.
And now, Peggy Noonan is doing her best white is black and black is white Republican apologist back tracking. Hah! Peggy Noonan.

It was that sort of Noonan-think that brought on the Palin disaster...Hillary lost the primary to Obama and, therefore, if McCain would pick a female VP--ANY FEMALE--all the vagina-having people would then vote for him.

Regarding coffee: I have one word for you - Brazilian Peaberry.

Octavio > Ernest Endevor • 2 hours ago
There are coffee growers in Antigua, Guatemala, who grow arabica varietals that produce a single bean instead of a cluster on the end of branches. I believe this is similar to the Brazilian Peaberry. They also make a mighty tasty jam/marmalade from the coffee cherry fruit. Something I don't understand more coffee growers don't do. I've spent a good amount of time picking fresh red coffee cherries in Antigua (magical place) and their single bean stuff costs about a bajillion dollars per bag. But it's also very good. I can imagine the Brazilian Peaberry is equally expensive and good. Where do I buy it?

Seriously, if you've ever been around coffee trees/bushes the ripe beans have a delicious sweet red flesh. It's thin, but easily harvested just by pinching the fruit between thumb and forefinger pushing out the bean. They go through big operation to remove the skins as it is. The jam available in Antigua is very sweet, but good on toast. :-)

I want everything you just mentioned. I get Peaberry - when I can - at a very good local market. It's $13.99 a pound. I'm sure it can be bought online. Never heard of such a jam. If you're interested in coffee you might enjoy Out of Africa by Karen Blixen - if you haven't read it. She writes at length about the growing of coffee and is fascinating as she watches the plantation fail.

Everyone is going to shit all over Reince Priebus when this is over - Beck, Erickson, Fox News hosts, Cruz, Rubio, etc. That'll be the one thing that unites them all.
But a thought occurred to me - what if they can't find someone to replace him? That once they've hurled him under the bus, they'll have to drag ol' Priebs out, duct tape him back together, and make him the face of the condemned building?

These guys never seem to think these things through. So is one, or more, of the following is true:
1. Cruz lost so God likes Trump more
2. There is no God.
3. Beck is not communicating God's intentions
4. Beck is lying about his God connections
5. God lied to Beck
6. God does not care about any of this
What is not true is that all powerful God that talks to Beck anointed Rafael Cruz, that definitely did not happen.

My feelings are very torn about this. Initially, I think, how fucked up is a country which allows this kind of grifting to occupy the airwaves? But then I think how fucked up is a country where there are enough people to financially support this kind of program? Either way, it does not speak well for what is undeniably the richest and most dangerous country on earth

God Has Failed Glenn Beck
May 4, 2016 2016 Election, Teabagistan
Breitbart spikes the ball:
After calling for a fast as Indiana headed to the polls, Glenn Beck has finally weighed in on the news that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has canceled his campaign after losing the Indiana primary to Donald Trump.
Beck, an ardent supporter of Cruz, campaigned tirelessly for the Texas senator throughout the primary season, starting first in Iowa and concluding in Indiana yesterday.
He often couched his enthusiasm with a religious zeal for Cruz, who he declared to be “the next George Washington.” Cruz, according to Beck, was “anointed” by God and “raised for these times.” This week, the radio talker even stated that he believes God deliberately prolonged the GOP primary so that every state in the union would be forced to choose between “good or evil.”
Beck was often harshly critical of Evangelical Christian voters for not supporting Cruz, stating at one point that “real Christians” don’t support Donald Trump and that “all throughout the South the Evangelicals are not listening to their God” because Cruz lost the Southern primaries to Trump.
Beck posted this last night after Cruz dropped out:
So, for now, we’re in the minority. Weather the storm.
Believe in our nation’s founding principles, believe in our rights, believe in God, and we will ultimately prevail. No matter who is president and no matter how far down the path to Socialism or Fascism our nation goes, each of us must still stand for Liberty. As long as we stand up for our principles and our rights — for each other — we will continue to win.
Each of us must still feed our families, must still defend freedom, must still be honorable.
What is happening in this election is normal. If you think it’s abnormal, you aren’t looking back far enough into history. Civilizations go through this. Societies aren’t a straight line of growth. There are down waves for every up wave.
Tomorrow is just Wednesday.

Even after all this time, the haters still cannot grasp technology.
You said it on tape. You said you were sending men into ladies' restrooms because you think that is what transgendered people are.
It's not "liberal media", it's your own words. And we are no longer afraid to call you out on it.

You think they aren't profitable enough to stay in business if they had to pay taxes?
I also tend to think that much of their support comes from people who aren't paying much if anything in the way of taxes themselves, so losing tax-deductibility on their contribution doesn't mean much.

What would really kill this stupid bullshit 'use the restroom' that agrees with your birth certificate is to ask fully transitioned and Masculine as possible F2M and fully Transitioned Feminine as possible M2F to go ahead and try to use the restrooms of their Birth certificates and when the shitola hits the fan SUE the facility that owns the restrooms for millions of dollars because they are denying you the letter of the law. Start with the North Carolina Statehouse and sue the State. The "March on Restrooms" It'd be historic , funny as hell and as soon as they see they would be losing serious money then this whole buffoonery would come to a screeching halt.

Funny how the AFA has all these radio hosts but likes to turn around and pretend that what those radio hosts say does not count as official positions from the AFA.
so whenever they make a claim about what they did or did not say they are probably playing a semantics game and not including what their radio host said.

Who you gonna believe: the Christians, or your own lying eyes that saw the photos of the freaks in matching T-shirts who went to Target to throw poopoo tantrums and disrupt normal people trying to shop? Next thing you know they'll be expecting us to believe in some story about a talking snake that convinced a rib woman to eat a magical fruit and that's the reason why we all have an intrinsic character flaw that can only be fixed by acknowledging our love of a zombie god who sent himself to earth to sacrifice himself, and if we don't, the zombie god will condemn us to burn in hell for eternity because he loves us.
Christians and truth are like oil and water.

As much as I hate to say it, I really don't think that hateful demoness Rios said the AFA was sending people into Target to test the policy, it sounded to me like she said "people are testing it" not "our people are testing it".

Quote: "We’ve already had people testing this, going into Targets and men trying to go into bathrooms. There is absolutely no barrier."
The use of the word we suggests otherwise.

It really doesn't, unless you decide you want it to.
There's no reason to play "gotcha" with these people; the things they actually do are despicable and outrageous enough.

It can be interpreted both ways, but for most people the first meaning to comes to mind is that they do it themselves.

It's typical Trump-style, right-wing rhetoric, saying a thing in such a way as to be able to deny later that she said it.

I think she meant the collective "we" as in We the People" but it is more fun to imagine Tony Perkins activating his bathroom inspector sleeper cells to defend our women (and girl) folk. ;)

American Family Association: The Liberal Media Lies, We’re Not Sending Men Into Target’s Ladies Rooms
May 4, 2016 Crime, Hate Groups, Religion
Yesterday the AFA issued a press release which claims that despite what you’re reading in the “lying liberal media” – they are not sending men into Target’s ladies rooms to “test” to company’s pro-trans policy. Damn those liars for quoting AFA radio host Sandy Rios: “We’ve already had people testing this, going into Targets and men trying to go into bathrooms.”
