Mormon .org video because of Him... why is ther no info on any of the LDS Church's videos that many any of the controversial aspects of Mormonism

Because of Him Mormon . org

Dear Readers,

Some Orthodox Mormons may want to do what it is right, but I doubt Yahweh has anything to do with it due to the lack of evidence supporting his existence. Unfortunately, the LDS Church has done things like support a massive campaign to deny same-sex couples the legal right to marry because of what they think Yahweh wants. I'm an ex-Orthodox Mormon and I find it odd that the Latter-day Saints could be so against loving relationships, were not the early Mormons faced with opposition because they believe in polygamous marriages? How about when the LDS Church viewed interracial relationships as "sinful" and that blacks were only worthy to be " the servants of servants" if they made into the Celestial Kingdom.

Again, the Mormon . org campaign isn't really all that effective, it doesn't give any proof that the claims of Mormonism are "true", reality-based, supported by conclusive and peer-reviewed evidence, moral or worth believing in as transgendered female and atheistic activist Zinnia Jones stated in her YouTube video " You're a Mormon....And?" The LDS Church's video campaign also doesn't go into the controversies surrounding the Latter-day Saint movement which consists of numerous branches , sects and splinter-groups, including the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which is known for still engaging in the practice of polygamous marriages and the FLDS/Fundamentalist Mormons view the Orthodox Mormons as heretical for rejecting this very important and "sacred" LDS doctrine. How about when the LDS Church President who the Orthodox Mormons view as a modern-day " Prophet" changes essential Orthodox Mormon doctrines so suddenly? This happened with the reversal of practicing polygamous marriages in 1890 and again 1978 with the reversal on banning African-Americans from attaining the same privileges of membership within the denomination that their white peers had by letting blacks enter into the Temples, allow "worthy" black males to hold the Orthodox priesthood and that interracial relationships were no longer "sinful".

I remember reading on AtheistNexus.org, an interesting blog post by an atheistic man who chatted online with an female LDS missionary on Mormon . org and asked her about Joseph Smith's multiple wives, the woman claimed that the Church did not know much about Smith's wives. This statement is  NOT true. We actually do know quite a bit about the plural wives of Joseph Smith. There is even a book about this particular subject, I have never read it personally, but I hear that it is a great source of information on this controversial issue. In fact, I'm pretty sure it was the polygamous situation that resulted in the death of Joseph Smith at the Carthage jail in Illinois back in 1844. Well, the female missionary told this man that information on JS's wives isn't really " all that important" and that she only cares about following the examples of Jesus Christ instead. I don't know about you, whether your a Mormon of whatever branch of the LDS movement, an ex-Mormon or even a post-Mormon reading this, but I find this female missionary's statement to be entirely dishonest.  She seems to be avoiding the issue because she finds that it would be " too controversial" or she is simply uneducated about the subject by having the false notion that we don't know much about Smith's plural wives which isn't true.

I'd also suggest that you watch Zinnia Jones' videos on Mormonism, she did more than one and their very interesting critiques.I strongly encourage my readers to go and look up information about the LDS movement and polygamy, in fact , take some time and do a little research on Mormonism and general, see what you can find.

Sincerely,

B.W.
