My comments on Irish JW tv host Aoife Ni Thuairisg

Aoife Ní Thuairisg is an iconic Irish language presenter on TG4, Ireland's Irish language television station. Aoife co-hosted TG4's 2015 Gradam Ceoil traditional Irish music awards show.
Aoife Ní Thuairisg was born in Inverin in Conamara and has two brothers and one sister. Before working in television, she ran her own business. She started working as a presenter on TG4 in 1997, and now presents the weather and is also a continuity announcer. She has presented various programmes in the past, including Ceol Tíre, the popular country music show, and the Féilte series, as well as live coverage of the Wimbledon Championships. She has also produced several programmes herself.
She produced several episodes of the successful series Paisean Faisean. However, she became involved in controversy when she refused to present a show featuring gay men, as she is a Jehovah's Witness.[1]

So, she refused to host an all-gay show because of her chosen religious preference as a Jehovah's Witness, well that is a form of prejudice, but she has the right to not do it.  If the station had refused to air the show, then that would be problem because that is a form of censorship.  I hope that showed the program at least and were able to find someone who is willing to host.  I wasn't able to read trhe article from the Sunday Independent, if I had been able to, I would have posted it.

What, in your opinion, are the reasons for the Celtic Tiger?
Opportunity and materialism. I think there is a massive spiritual vacuum in Irish society and we seem to think that money can fill it.

Well Aoife, opportunity isn't always a bad thing. Materialism isn't always a bad thing, but it can be a distraction from more important issues. How do you know that there is a massive "spiritual vacuum" in Ireland, and who said that people think that money can fill it?  How do you know what all Irish people believe or don't believe, Aoife?  Not everyone does things the Jehovah's Witness way like you do. Not everyone agrees with JW beliefs and practices or thinks that they are "true". The JW way of life isn't for everyone and not everyone fits into it.
