A Bigot and homophobic. I used to be in this religion. They control their people down to the way they dress and how and what to think. What kind of god is so petty that he gives 2 shits about how tight the fabric on your legs is? How about saving some of the molested children he has in his organization first? http://www.10news.com/news/135-million-judgment-against-jehovahs-witnesses-in-child-abuse-case

I have an ex-jahova witness friend and she described it as a cult that controls your entire life down to your socks. She works in retail and her family goes everyday to buy an 80 cent item just so they can get into her line and tell her that she is going to hell.
 What a religion.

jessiegrrl...Jehovah's Witnesses do not believe in hell. A lot of the people who leave this religion speak against it because their families won't speak to them anymore. And if her family really does this and they are Jehovah's Witnesses, then God will be the one to judge them.

So. A fat fuck who wears an oversize suit who violates the bible's direct command to abstain from obesity is condemning those who can wear tight fitting pants (no mention in the bible...anywhere). As an atheist I could give a fuck. However, the hypocrisy is mind-boggling! LOL!!

Well said. And while you're judging people for their sartorial choices, please continue to wear brightly-colored strips of cloth around your neck that point downward and call attention to your genitals. Because that's what Jehovah would want.

I used to be a member of this cult when I was a kid. At that time, my father referred to pants without back pockets as "fag pants", and Angel Flights as "Fairy Flights." I even wrote about that in my gay exJW memoir, which the Advocate named as one of the top 20 "Must Read Books" of the year. If only my father knew then that I would grow up and leave the Jehovah's Witness cult, and that I was gay in spite of the fact that I wore Wranglers rather than Angel Flights. LOL http://www.advocate.com/arts-entertainment/books/2013/05/13/20-must-read-books-we-missed-last-year?page=0%2C9

Why are all of you so mad? These talks are for Jehovahs Witnesses. These talks were not broadcast publicly. They have nothing to do with you all. Isnt this still America? Isnt this still a democracy where we ALL have freedom of religion and speech etc...
Best be careful people about what you wish for you just may get it, because when you start demanding that others not be allowed to have their own beliefs you may not be able to have your own. They execute ppl in Iran for being homosexual in case you didnt know. Just live your life . Try to avoid hate because it just makes you feel terrible and shortens you life.

We don't tell you will go to hell we don't even believe in hell but we don't agree with gays and bisexuals and lesbians because in the bible it's wrong . Alan Arthur Katz ·  Top Commenter · Self-Employed Building Web Sites, Doing Photography, Getting Old at Ksoft Inc.
OMG! It's like a time warp backl to the 1890's - preacher condemning those tight clothing that are so sinful to wear - why? Because God's creation (in His own image, remember?) is so disgusting and perverted that men and women both should wear Burkas lest, God forbid, they see any (dare I say it?) flesh. I mean, I just about fell down on the floor laughing when he mentioned how obscene it is for men to wear pants that are tight in the ankle. The ankle? This guy has read too many Victorian bodice-rippers!
I don't know, but I don't remember religion being this crazy even in the '60s in America. They're trying to upstage the Taliban and ISIS with a whole new take on "keeping up with the Joneses".
To be honest, I just can't wait for the current generation of young people to fully take over - they are smarter than previous generations - they've abandoned their churches in droves and don't even understand hate. We need them now, more than ever.

Is this what passes for legitimate news these days? Ripping stories off of biased, third-rate personal blogs that have long histories of out-right lying? (from the very same source: "Sisters were told that they cannot marry a man older than 23 if he is not by that age a ministerial servant" which is a blatant lie).
And also astonishingly enough, I find myself agreeing with the guy on many of his points. Most people already don't want to see Witnesses show up at their door. Would it be an improvement to have a male Witness show up at the door and he be wearing super tight fitting pants? Wouldn't that distract from their whole purpose of being there, which is to preach?
And yes, actually a huge proportion of male fashion designers are gay, so he is right on that too!

Reply ·  · 1 · November 11, 2014 at 6:52pm

Jill Chandler
Are you out of your tree? Didn't you hear the video with old Morris mocking the girl who wanted to marry the 23 year old who wasn't a ministerial servant? And he repeated himself, and said she paid the price for marrying him. This directly lead listeners to conclude that 1) if you're 23 and not a MS servant yet, there's something wrong with you, and 2) if you marry a man who is 23 and not a MS, there's something wrong with you. You'd better listen to the talk that you obviously ignored, lest you continue to make foolish statements.

tears_of_oberon (signed in using yahoo)
We have two statements:
"Sisters are told that they cannot marry a man older than 23 if he is not by that age a ministerial servant"
"Sisters are encouraged to seek out ministerial servants over non-ministerial servants as that is held up as an indicator of good spirituality, maturity, responsibility and reputation"
The former statement is an outright-lie, while the latter is not. It is one thing to say: the girl should have looked for better qualities in her mate, and she paid the price for her own choice. It is another thing to say: The Witnesses forbid her from marrying except under this condition.
That is why I dislike using biased, amateur blog posts as news sources -- they tend to take great liberties with the truth whenever it suits their bias.

Can you imagine the Jesus character giving a speech like this? I mean, with all the war and crime and sickness and starving children in the world, i'm surrrrre that tight-fitting pants are what good old JC would see as a priority. That and facial hair. They're against men having facial hair. (god given or not, lol) I'm sure after this embarrassment, this old man will soon be "retired" and the next ass kiss will be promoted to micromanage issue by nagging and denouncing the little people for some other issue.

This is what is most important to them. They perform no charitable acts. They offer nothing positive in the communities they live and benefit from. They preach hate and division. They demand the tearing apart of families. You are only a friend, if you comply 100%. This is a cult and will always be one. There is nothing special or unique about this or any other religion. And to top it off, they steal from the elderly. A scam, through and through.

I was raised a JW for almost 30 years. I recall the amount of Jws who wear Jeans. Jeans were considered a sign of rebellion and loose living ( because they were tight ) back in the early days. Also pastel coloured shirts were a sign of spiritual immaturity and weakness in the early 1970's by the elders. I recall talks about such dress. Long hair over the shirt collar was also worldly as was anal sex and cock sucking considered immoral and unnatural. So as far as I am concerned no much has changed. By the way - the 2 William sisters who are famous USA tennis players claim to be Jws and thank him publicly after each match - and yet they wear mini skirts on the tennis field. One of them recently had no knickers on underneath - as it was on the news with a pic for all to see. Oh yeah, they are not baptised so I'm told and hence not a good example. Yet I'm still stumbled by this.

The BORG focus on condemning homosexuals and their lifestyle, yet when it occurs within their hall's members they appear to cover it ALL UP. Whats up with that? HIPOS! Al-Creepos! The ones who cover it up, no matter who it is are just as guilty as the ones committing the sexual abuse crime. ASSESSORY TO THE FACTS/which includes member, non-members and the victims. Some of these family's are paid HUSH money. So, some can be bought. PS I am an exjws also, discussing things go on in their lives, which they justify. Alcohol is another big subject to talk about. Drunkardness behind the door to door preaching. HIPOS!
