Must Cut All Ties
This letter was written to Michelle by her mother.
In it, she states that she is writing this letter out of love for Michelle and for Jehovah and she must "cut all ties" with her.
Location: Bathurst, Australia









Letters from Mom

Recently my husband and I went out with a group of exJWs for the first time since I have left the corporation.  There, we got to talking about some of the letters and text messages our Jehovah’s Witness parents have sent us upon our leaving the cult—be it by disfellowshipping or disassociating… and we were so stunned at the crazy similitaries between our letters and others that we’ve seen posted.  Robert McCoy, one of the people there, came up with the brilliant idea to compile them all, and Letters from Mom was born!

 The intention is for this to be  an organic thing, where it’s progressively updated, and continuously shining a light on this almost verbatim “cult speak” that our shunning parents or family members are using.  Our family members are not behaving like people, rather automatons--robots even--regurgitating the script emblazoned on their minds by the Governing Body.
