Dear Readers,

A friend in Michigan told me of a news excerpt he saw from about Brunei, I believe instituting a law that makes having same-gender sex punishable by stoning gay men and lesbians to death. This is just another act of gaysexophobia and a hatred of sex and need to control the sex lives of other people by corrupt politicians. Now Fox News host challenging Santorum over his same-sex marriage position is not surprising, if same-sex couples want to marry legally, why should Fox News care? Heterosexual promiscuity does not now nor will it ever explain why same-sex couples shouldn't be allowed to marry, it does explain why heterosexual couples shouldn't marry if their going to cheat on their spouse. I'm a heterosexual married women myself and I probably wouldn't marry if I were promiscuous, why limit yourself to one person? Unless I wanted to have an open marriage or was polyamorous.  It reminds me of an episode on Steve Wilkos about married couples having a three-way relationship, one women didn't want to be with her husband anymore or their female lover even though she cared for them deeply. If someone wants to be in a three-way or polyamorous relationship, let them if all parties are consenting adults, I have no problem with it, provided in the three-way relationship that both spouses or partners agree to have a third person in their relationship who hasn't already been taken.

Now, it seems straight married couples cheat a lot, you never hear religious people openly protesting against them or unmarried straight couples having sex and do you know why? Because many of these people committing adultery and having non-marital sex are religious people. I believe that female adulteresses are supposed to put to death along with their male lovers in the Torah, so if religious politicians are going to insist on basing our secular laws on religious practices, should we not institute a law proscribing the death penalty for women who cheat on their husbands? Should we not also stone disobedient children to death and forbid the eating of shellfish and wearing mixed-fabrics?

Think about it.

Sincerely,

B.W.
