Some more comments from the AtheistNexus.org discussion on the Jehovah's Witnesses seducing people to convert them to the Organization

I was tortured by JW five times by not giving me water and food for three days because I called an elder an authoritarian asshole. JW is the most totalitarian and destructive cult I have ever met. Quit her man. Forgert her.

JW ripped my family apart. My dad converted in 1995. None of the remaining family became a Witness, which led to lots of tension. He would especially be indignant about other people's sexual immorality, ranting about "fornication". When a family friend had a baby out of wedlock, he would rant how they have "no morals" and that "When Armageddon comes, Jehovah's gonna kill that baby."
In 2003 he had an affair with a woman in his Kingdom Hall half his age. He divorced my mother, and the two of them were disfellowshipped for a few years until judged repentant. Then they were allowed back in, married. Both are still active Witnesses, regularly doing the door-to-door ministry and attempting to peddle their cult.

Sad, ridiculous, outrageous, hypocritical, pathetic.....on & on, & it just angers me no end that people throw their lives away on this sort of bullsh*t.

Dear Readers,

I don't know about you, but I find Mequa and Antonios Tsaboukos' stories to be heartbreaking. I think Mequa's dad sounds like a hypocrite for condemning a friend of the family for having a child out of wedlock. Exactly how is two consenting adults engaging in non-marital sex hurting anyone else? This man had the nerve to cheat on his wife with another woman and isn't pleased with his family who refused to join the Jehovah's Witnesses because they don't agree with much of the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society's worldview. So, who really has no morals here? The fornicating consenting adult couple who aren't hurting anyone that  had a child out of wedlock or the man who cheated on his wife with another woman, the man who resents his family for not having the same religious beliefs as him and the man who believes that the child of this couple is going to die at Armageddon, killed by his "loving" god?  Think about it.

Sincerely,

B.W.
