A mention of JW's and authoritarianism

The Jehovah's Witnesses may apply the dictionary view of apostasy to their view of apostasy, however, JW converts who left another religious group to join the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society are also apostates. Now, a JW convert who leaves another religion to become a JW obviously doesn't think that they are an apostate because they have now found the "truth" in their eyes and that their former religious community is a "false" religion. Yet, according to the modern definition of apostasy, the JW convert who left their former religious community to "become one of Jehovah's Witnesses" is also an apostate and it would be hypocritical of them to point fingers at former JW's, it seems to me.

Also, a group that doesn't allow for internal disagreement is authoritarian and the JW's are authoritarian, they may choose to be a part of the WBTS out of their own volition, yet it is still authoritarian and totalitarian.

Sincerely,

B.W.
