Expedition Robinson, was the first season of the Central European version of Survivor which was broadcast on RTL2 in Germany and on ORF in Austria from September 17, 2000 to December 3, 2000. The main twist this season was that the contestants were split into two teams based on their country of origin, with the North team initially being composed of eight Germans and the South team of eight Austrians. The early portion of the competition saw the South team struggle to just survive as they quickly lost the first three immunity challenges leading to the elimination of three of their members. Due to the evacuation of Claudia in episode two and the voluntary exits of Babsi and Lorraine in episodes four and six, jokers Julia, Nico, and Ulrike were added to the North and South teams (Julia and Nico to the North and Ulrike to the South) midway through the pre-merge stage of the competition. When the tribes merged in episode eight, the former members of the South team found themselves the target of a North team based alliance and were systematically picked off until only Ulrike remained. When it came time for the final four, the contestants competed in two challenges in order to determine who would make the final two. As Marc and Ulrike lost both of said challenges they were eliminated from the game. Ultimately, it was Melanie who won the season over Thomas with a jury vote of 4-3.

Survivor: Überwinde.Überliste.Überlebe ! (Survivor: Overcome. Outsmart. Survive!) is German local season of Survivor. In Germany was broadcast by the Prosieben network in 2007. The price for the winner is 250.000 Euro. From the beginning, the audience did not have an interest on the Show. After the second week the ratings dropped significantly.[1]

Format[edit]
A group of eighteen contestants were marooned on a desert island for 50 days and split into two tribes (Gunung and Tasik). For the first half of the game, the two tribes competed against each other in reward challenges and immunity challenges. The tribe that won the reward challenge received a special treat that made their life on the island more comfortable. The tribe that won the immunity challenge was completely safe from any eliminations for three days.
Meanwhile, the tribe that lost the immunity challenge were forced to vote one of their own number off the island. Contestants were free to discuss and scheme about who they wished to vote off, and many alliances were made and broken as the series went on.
After the first half of the game, the remaining members of the two tribes merged, and the game changed completely. Reward and immunity challenges were competed for on an individual basis, with the remaining contestants battling to prevent themselves from being voted off. After tribal merger, every contestant who was voted off joined a jury that decided who won the 250.000 Euro prize. They were given the choice from the final two contestants.

Survivor U.S.
Survivor Greece was the Greek version of the popular reality Survivor. This version of the show aired on Mega TV in Greece for two seasons from 2003 to 2004. While the series was titled "Survivor", it also took elements from Survivor's predecessor Expedition Robinson such as that of the North and South teams. While the series was not considered a flop in Greece is did not achieve the ratings that Mega TV had hoped for and at the end of its second season it was cancelled only to be brought back two years later for a joint season with Turkey. The prize for the first two seasons of the show was 200,000 euros and 250,000 for the third season.

Format and rules[edit]

Greek Survivor followed the format of American Survivor, but there were some differences. In the Greek version, each season was called 'Series'.
Unlike the American version that airs once a week, the Greek version aired two (season 1) to three (season 2) times a week in "cycles". In all season two there were nineteen, instead of the usual sixteen, contestants that were initially separated into tribes based on gender. Also, season two saw the debut of "Gkoal", which was an island where eliminated contestants would take part in a series of duel in order to earn a spot back in the game.
When a player was forced out of the game due to sickness, he/she couldn't be a member of jury.
In the event of a tie at Tribal Councils, contestants competed in a duel in order to determine who would be eliminated.
As seen in season two, if jury members did not wish to cast a vote for a winner they were not required to.

Survivor 1, was the first edition of the Greek version of the popular reality show Survivor and it aired from September 2003 to December 2003. This season being the inaugural season of Survivor in Greece did not involve many twists, however there were a few notable twists that did occur. The first of these twists occurred in the second episode cycle in which North team member Elias Valasis and South team member Nikos Lamprinakis swapped tribes. In this same episode cycle, Eugenia Katsarou entered the game and joined the South team following their win at the second reward challenge. All three of the contestants previously mentioned had immunity at their tribes first tribal council after the second immunity challenge. When the merge came, the two teams initially stuck with their former tribe members and voted against their former opponents, however as time went on alliances were made within teams. The most powerful of these alliances was that of the trio Evagelina Dermetzoglou, Nikos Lamprinakis, and Orthoula Papdaki, who controlled the later stages of the game and ultimately made up the final three. When it came time for the final three they competed in two challenges in order to decide who would be in the final two. Eventually, it was Evagelina Dermetzoglou who won the season over Nikos Lamprinakis with a jury vote of 8-0.

Survivor 2, was the second edition of the Greek version of the popular reality show Survivor and it aired from September 2004 to December 2004. There were a few main twists this season, the first being that the tribes were initially divided by gender. However, this twist was short lived due to the evacuation of Helen and Maria's voluntary exit both which took place in week two of the shows airing. The other twist for this season was that of "Gkoal", when a contestant was voted out they would be given a chance to go to Gkoal where they would duel other contestants for a spot in the game. The winner of Gkoal was Manolis. Right before the merge, the contestants took part in a challenge which Giannis lost and was eliminated. When it came time for the final four, all remaining contestants were asked to vote for someone to return to the game from the eliminated contestants, Konstantina who had been voted out right after the elimination challenge that took place before the merge, received the most votes and returned to the game. When given the opportunity to vote for a winner only three jury members chose to vote as the others didn't feel either of the final two deserved to win the season. Ultimately, it was Konstantina Golias won this season over Anna Majuro with a jury vote of 3-0.

L'Isola dei Famosi (The Celebrity Island or The Island of the Famous People) is a reality show on RAI Due, which has aired since 2003. From 2003 to 2012, through the first eight editions, the program was hosted by Simona Ventura. After Simona Ventura left to go to Sky, for which she signed a two-year contract, the show shown changed the host format. Beginning with the ninth edition of the reality show, with the first episode airing January 25, 2012, the how has a dual host format with Nicola Savino (in the Rai 2 studios) and Vladimir Luxuria (on the island).
The format is the Italian edition of the program Celebrity Survivor!, created by Charlie Parsons, as indicated in the credits. In February 2001 a show with a similar format, called Survivor, was aired on Italia 1, hosted by Benedetta Corbi, who had been loaned to Italia 1 by TG5 for the show. That show did not have celebrity competitors, and had disappointing viewership (probably because it was not live and because of the rigid division of the show into two parts: a montage of the week of the castaways and the studio talk show).
On The Island of the Famous a group of celebrity competitors (beginning with the fifth edition a non-celebrity competitor was also added) must survive on a desert island with no facilities (they must build a shelter, fire, procure food, etc.) Candidates have a basic survival kit which, through group efforts, can be enhanced with new objects created.
Once a week there is a challenge winner, determined through contests of skill, balance, strength, etc. The competitor who wins the week’s challenge becomes immune from elimination in the next episode.
Each week, live, the "nomination" unfolds, a process through which the competitors are gradually eliminated. In the finale the last remaining contenders compete for the first place prize money.
The first three editions were located in the Dominican Republic on the Samaná Peninsula. From fourth to sixth season the show moved to Cayos Cochinos, Honduras. Due to the coup in Honduras, however, the seventh edition of the reality show was held in Corn Islands, Nicaragua only to return to Honduras for the eighth season.
After some uncertainty at RAI about scheduling the show for 2011/2012 (due to the loss of Simona Ventura upon her transfer to Sky), on September 15, 2011 the Board of RAI gave the green light to the ninth edition of the program with the dual hosts, Nicola Savino and Vladimir Luxuria.

Nota 1: A metà della seconda puntata Simona Ventura apre un televoto fra i 6 concorrenti non famosi. Ad avere la peggio in questa televoto è Tiziana Decorato, che, successivamente, viene portata sull'ultima spiaggia dove incontra l'eliminata della serata Debora Salvalaggio. Tra le due la Ventura apre un nuovo televoto che decreta la persona che può rimanere in isolamento sull'ultima spiaggia. A spuntarla è proprio la non famosa, Tiziana, mentre la Salvalaggio torna definitivamente in Italia.

Ad avere la peggio è l'ultimo rimasto dei non famosi Claudio Cucurullo che insieme al primo eliminato della serata Paul Belmondo viene portato sull'ultima spiaggia dove entrambi accettano di scontrarsi in ballottaggio con Manuela Villa, ma l'omonima cantante riesce ad avere la meglio, così dopo 5 settimane di completa solitudine viene riportata dai suoi compagni d'avventura in Ruina.
Nota 9: Dopo l'arrivo in Ruina di Manuela Villa, i concorrenti si soppongono ad una prova immunità che viene vinta da Debora Caprioglio e Nicola Canonico, mentre le due perdenti, Manuela Villa e Miriana Trevisan sono costrette a sottoporsi al televoto per l'intera settimana finale, tra di loro il pubblico sceglierà la quarta classificata di questa edizione.

In questa manche inoltre Leonardo Tumiotto era il leader, ma le sue nomination non valevano come tale, bensì come un normale concorrente. Infine nella terza manche tutti i concorrenti erano nominati indistamente. Veridiana Mallmann e Patrizia De Blanck sono state decretate la 12º e la 13º eliminata dal gioco.
