Survivor Spain is the Spanish version of the popular reality Survivor. This version of the show has aired on Spanish broadcast channels Telecinco, from 2000 to 2001 and 2006 to the present, Antena 3, from 2003 to 2005, and on laSiete from 2009 to the present. Throughout its time on air in Spain, Survivor has gone by many names. From 2000 to 2001 it was known as Supervivientes: Expedicion Robinson, a show that closely followed the American version of the program. From 2003 to 2004 it was known as La isla de los FamoS.O.S, which, unlike its previous incarnation, resembled more of a Big Brother format and included celebrities as contestants (this format would be carried over to all future versions of the show). In 2005, it was known as Aventura en África, and since 2006 it has been called simply Supervivientes. The prize for the winner has varied from season to season depending on the show's current format.

Supervivientes: Expedición Robinson 2001
Supervivientes: Expedición Robinson 2000, was the first season of the show Supervivientes to air in Spain and it was broadcast on Telecinco from September 10, 2000 to December 3, 2000. This season took place in Panama. For this season the contestants were initially divided into the North and South teams. During the pre-merge portion of this season an item known as the talisman came into play whenever a player was eliminated. When a player was voted out of the game they could leave the talisman to any tribe member of their choice. Despite her initial elimination from the game in episode three, Ana Maria Fernandez was allowed to return to the game, only this time as a replacement on the North team for Juan Antonio Ruiz who was forced to leave the game due to health reasons. When the tribes merged, for the first few days following the merge there weren't any immunity challenges. When it came time for the final four, the contestants took part in two challenges in order to determine who would be the finalists. Ultimately, it was Xavier Monjonell who won this season over María Elena García by an unknown jury vote and took home the grand prize of 10,000,000 pesetas.

Supervivientes: Expedición Robinson 2001, was the second season of the show Supervivientes to air in Spain and it was broadcast on Telecinco from September 16, 2001 to December 20, 2001. This season took place on the island of Madagascar off the coast of Africa. For this season the contestants were again initially divided into the North and South teams. In episode five a tribal swap occurred in which Alfredo "Freddy" Cortina and José "Kaky" Lópe swapped tribes. As part of this twist neither could be voted out before the merge. When the tribes merged, for the first few days following the merge there weren't any reward challenges, and following the acceptance of food from a native in episode 8, it was decided that none of the contestants would be immune at the eighth tribal council. When it came time for the final three, the contestants took part in two challenges in order to determine who would be the finalists. Ultimately, it was Alfredo "Freddy" Cortina who won this season over Antonio "Amate" Amate by 6 jury votes and took home the grand prize of 20,000,000 pesetas. Andrés was voted as the favourite contestans from this season with 37% of public votes and he won the prize of 3,000,000 pesetas.

Supervivientes: Perdidos en el Caribe, After several years on Antena 3, the Spanish version of Survivor returned to Telecinco in 2006. Despite the change in etworks, the show's format remained virtually unchanged. For this season thirteen castaways were stranded on an island in Santo Domingo (Dominican Republic). Jesús Vázquez and José María Iñigo were the hosts for this season. The show began airing on May 2, 2006 and finished on July 11, 2006 after 70 days. A new twist was added to the mechanics of competition: the castaway kicked out of the week received the opportunity to live in solitude on "The Last Beach", unknown to the contestants left in the competition, where they would fight to return to the competition. Ultimately, it was Carmer Russo, who was initially the second contestant to be eliminated from the competition, who won the season over Verónica Romero and Jesús de Manuel.

Supervivientes: Perdidos en el Honduras, was the second season of Supervivientes and the eight season of Survivor (TV series) to air in Spain. This season was filmed in Cayo Paloma, Honduras. Jesus Vazquez was the host of the main show this season with Mario Picazo doing daily summaries from the island with the contestants from Monday to Friday at 17.45, and Lucia Riaño presented the debate Sunday at midnight. The show was broadcast from April 19, 2007 to June 28, 2007. The main twist this season was that of the "Judas Kiss", which gave an eliminated contestant the right to vote at the tribal council immediately following their elimination. Ultimately, it was Nilo Manrique who won this season over Juan Oiarzabal and Rebecca Loos.

Supervivientes: Perdidos en Honduras (2009)
Supervivientes 2008: Perdidos en Honduras, was the fifth season of the show Supervivientes and the ninth season of Survivor to air in Spain and it was broadcast on Telecinco from January 17, 2008 to March 27, 2008. This season took place in Honduras. The show was presented by Jesús Vázquez, with Mario Picazo and Emma García acting as hosts of side programs. For this season the show temporarily returned to its original format by dividing the contestants into two tribes, white and black, which eventually merged. Due to a tropical disease and no symptoms of recovery, in week three of this season it was decided that Mario Picazo would leave his role as presenter to recover and was replaced by Oscar Martinez, during that time. Ultimately, it was Miriam Sánchez who won this season over Leo Segarra and Lely Céspedes, taking home €200,000 and a car.

Supervivientes: Perdidos en Nicaragua (2010)
Supervivientes 2009: Perdidos en Honduras, was the sixth season of Supervivientes to air in Spain and the tenth season to air overall. This season was broadcast on the March 19, 2009 to June 11, 2009 on Telecinco. Jesus Vazquez acted as the Spanish presenter for this season while Mario Picazo acted as the host from Honduras. The initial twist for this season was that the contestants were split up into two tribes based on gender. Another twist that was put into place this season was that of the "Judas Kiss". When a contestant was eliminated that contestant could then use their Judas Kiss to vote for some one at the next tribal council.
Michel was supposed to be one of the final contestants but some days before the launch he was ejected for some objections with the producers. Roberto entered one day before the launch replacing Michel. Ultimately, it was Maite Zúñiga who won this season over Matías Fernández and Ivonne Orsini and took home the €200,000 prize as well as a car.

Supervivientes: Perdidos en Honduras (2011)
Supervivientes 2010: Perdidos en Nicaragua, was the eleventh season of Survivor to air in Spain, and it was broadcast on Telecinco from May 6, 2010 to July 25, 2010. For the fifth consecutive year Jesus Vazquez acted as the main host, with Eva Gonzalez and Emma Garcia, acting as host of the special late night talk portion of the show. The main twist this season was that the contestants were both famous celebrities and regular citizens. As part of this twist, the "Anonymous", as the regular citizens were called, had to survive a public vote in order to live on the main island with the celebrities. This was the first time that non-celebrities took part in the program since "Aventura en Africa" back in 2005. Ultimately, it was Maria José Fernández, who won this season over fellow unknowns Deborah Arena and Javier "Parri" Parrado.

Supervivientes: Perdidos en Honduras (2014)
Supervivientes 2011: Perdidos en Honduras, was the eighth season of the show Supervivientes and the twelve season of Survivor to air in Spain and it was broadcast on Telecinco from May 5, 2011 to July 28, 2011. For this year the show returned to Honduras for the third time. For this season, Jorge Javier Vázquez acted as the main host at the central studio in Madrid, with Raquel Sánchez Silva co-hosting from the island, and Christian Gálvez hosting a side debate of the program. The main twist this season was that of "Purgatory"; beginning with the first elimination and continuing through the fifth elimination, many of the eliminated contestants were sent to Purgatory following their elimination. Once in Purgatory they would live with the Anonymous contestants. This twist came to an end on Day 32 when the contestants living there all faced a public vote to determine who'd return to the game. Ultimately, it was Rosa Benito who won this season over Rosa María "Rosi" Arcas and Tatiana Delgado.

Supervivientes 2014: Perdidos en Honduras, is the ninth season of the show Supervivientes and the thirteenth season of Survivor to air in Spain and it will be broadcast on Telecinco from March, 2014 to May, 2014 approximately. For this year the show returned to Honduras for the third time. For this season, Jorge Javier Vázquez acted as the main host at the central studio in Madrid, with Raquel Sánchez Silva co-hosting from the island, and Álvaro de la Lama hosting a side debate of the program. With this season the tribes were initially divided into two tribes, Cayo Paloma and Isla Bonita. Contestants from Isla Bonita were exempt from main nominations which happened in Cayo Paloma. This season has the record of the spanish franchise of most evacuations and exits due to medical reasons or family issues, (4 forced ejections and 2 voluntary exits). There was an important twist this season which consists eliminated contestants from Cayo Paloma were not real eliminated and moved to Isla Bonita. Every week each moved Cayo Paloma contestant had to face elimination with the weekly recent eliminated and the one who survives would still remain at Isla Bonita. Following the fifth elimination, the tribes merged into only one tribe and at this point the new eliminated would move to El Palafito, a 12 sqm platform where they would live alone every week. Rafa was the first one to go to El Palafito and he lived there for 5 weeks. When this twist was over, Rafa who win the last vote of El Palafito against Carolina joined the last 3 contestants. Ultimately, it was Abraham García, who won this season over Rafa Lomana and won the €200,000 grand prize and a car.

La Isla de los FamoS.O.S. 2
La Isla de los FamoS.O.S. 1, was the first season of the show La Isla de los FamoS.O.S and the third season of Survivor to air in Spain and it was broadcast on Antena 3 from January 23, 2003 to February 27, 2003. This season took place in the Dominican Republic. Beginning with this season there was a dramatic change in the format of the Spanish version of Survivor. First, instead of the contestants being mainly regular citizens, they were well known celebrities or former contestants of previous reality shows. Second, instead of tribal council elimination votes, contestants nominated other contestants for eviction through nominations and a leader appointed nominee(s) and the public decided who would be eliminated from the game. Third, as opposed to any of the previous seasons (as well as any that followed) this season only had eight initial contestants competing for the prize money with a ninth (María José Besora) entering following the voluntary exit of Nani Gaitán. Ultimately, it was Daniela Cardone, a famous model born in Argentina, who beat out Ismael Beiro, the well known winner from Gran Hermano season 1, and well known journalist Miguel Temprano for the €60,000 grand prize.

Followed by
La Selva de los FamoS.O.S.
La Isla de los FamoS.O.S. 2, was the second season of the show La Isla de los FamoS.O.S and the fourth season of Survivor to air in Spain and it was broadcast on Antena 3 from May 7, 2003 to June 25, 2003. This season took place in the Dominican Republic. Beginning with this season there was a dramatic change in the format of the Spanish version of Survivor. Along with some of the twists introduced in the previous season, this season the sixteen contestants (seventeen when Fayna Bethencourt entered the game to replace Silvia Fominaya) were divided into two tribes called Macorix and Yamasá. When the tribes merged into the Cana'n following the sixth elimination there were only ten contestants left in the game. Along with this, all eliminations and nominations this season (and all seasons following) were live. Ultimately, it was Felipe López, the well known swimmer, who won this season over model María Pineda and took home the €200,000 grand prize.

Aventura en África
La Selva de los FamoS.O.S., was the third season of the show La Isla de los FamoS.O.S and the fifth season of Survivor to air in Spain and it was broadcast on Antena 3 from January 14, 2004 to March 10, 2004. This season took place in Brazil. With this season the tribes were initially divided into two tribes based on gender. Following the third elimination, the tribes were shuffled into the North and South teams. Along with this twist, a joker, Leticia Sabater, was added to the game following the fifth elimination and was hidden and given immunity until the merge. When the tribes merged into the one tribe following the seventh elimination there were ten contestants left in the game. When it came time for the final seven, previously eliminated contestant Laura Manzanedo was voted back in the game by her fellow contestants. Ultimately, it was Jose "Canales" Rivera, the well known bullfighter, who won this season over water polo player Miguel "Miki" Oca and singer Jose Manuel Soto and took home the €60,000 grand prize.
