Robinsonekspedisjonen is a popular Norwegian reality television program debuting in 1999. In the of fall 1998 TV3 purchased the broadcast rights to air their own version of Expedition Robinson. Norway was one of the first countries to adopt the Robinson format following its success in both Sweden and Denmark. While it has never achieved as high of ratings as that of Denmark and Sweden's versions of the show, it is still considered a ratings success.
The name alludes to both Robinson Crusoe and The Swiss Family Robinson, two stories featuring people marooned by shipwrecks.
Following a two year hiatus after the VIP season with Denmark and Sweden, Robinsonekspedisjonen returned in 2007 and has seen a season over season ratings growth since.
Format[edit]
The Robinson format was developed by Planet 24, a United Kingdom TV production company owned by Charlie Parsons and Bob Geldof. Their company Castaway Television Productions retained the rights to the concept when they sold Planet 24 in 1999. Mark Burnett later licensed the format to create the U.S. show Survivor in 2000.
Sixteen contestants are put into a survival situation and compete in a variety of physical challenges. Early in each season two teams compete but later on the teams are merged and the competitions become individual. At the end of each show one contestant is eliminated from the show by the others in a secret "island council" ballot.

Robinsonekspedisjonen 1999
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Robinsonekspedisjonen: 1999, was the first season of the Norwegian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson and it premiered on the 19th of September 1999 and aired until the 5th of December 1999. The first season took place on the island of Cadlao outside of the Philippines. Nils Ole Oftebro was the host for the first season of Robinsonekspedisjonen. Keeping with the tradition of the Swedish version, the two tribes were simply named "Lag Nord" (North Team) and "Lag Sør" (South Team). Ultimately, Christer Falch won the season over Hanne Cecilie Akre by a unanimous jury vote of 8-0. As Christer was seen as the mastermind of the dominant alliance this season and was also seen as the best player, he would take over as host of the show from season 2 on. Unlike Expedition Robinson, the Norwegian version of the show did not meet the expectations of TV3, however, it was renewed for several more seasons.

When the merge came so did the season's joker, Annbjørg Østerås who along with Conny Hansen and Erik Torjusen moved to a new, merge camp in episode 6. For the first time in the history of Expedition Robinson, there was a final three instead of a final two and for the first time in the Norwegian version of the show the public were allowed to award a jury vote to the finalist of their choice. Ultimately, Mia Martinsen won the season with a jury vote of 4-3-2 over Trude Hole and Anders Dahle

Robinsonekspedisjonen: 2002, was the fourth season of the Norwegian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson and it premiered on the 22nd of September 2002 and aired until the 15th of December 2002. The fourth season took place on an island in Malaysia. For the fourth season the amount of contestants was raised from sixteen to eighteen. The first twist this season took place in episode one when both tribes were forced to vote out one member prior to their first immunity challenge. As another twist this season when a contestant was voted out they were sent to "destiny island". Ann Molvig eventually won the final duel and returned to the game. Once on the island the ousted contestant would compete in a series of duels with other eliminated players in order to gain a spot in the final five. Ultimately, it was Ann Molvig who won the season over Halvard Fence with an initial jury vote of 5-5, and eventually a 6-4 vote when Bjørn Jarli changed his vote.

Robinsonekspedisjonen 2003
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Robinsonekspedisjonen: 2003, was the fifth season of the Norwegian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson and it premiered on the 7th of September 2003 and aired until the 7th of December 2003. The fifth season took place on an island in Malaysia. In the fifth season the number of contestants was lowered from eighteen to sixteen. A highlight from the first half of the season was the losing streak of the South team. In episode five there was a tribal swap in which both Mia and Marianne swapped tribes and each became the new chief of their new tribe. When the tribes merged, the members of the original South team tried hard to get members of the original North team to swap, but this was to no avail. In episode nine the contestants were randomly paired up and competed in a challenge for immunity. The pair that finished last in the challenge, Joachim and Vera, lost their voting rights. As a twist in episode nine, when one member of a pair was voted out the other was automatically eliminated as well which meant since Joachim was voted out, Vera was too. Following the double elimination, Joachim and Vera competed in a duel to see which of them would return to the game, Joachim won the duel. Upon Joachim's return he was furious with his fellow former alliance members Eva, Espen, and Gunnar who along with Vera made up a five person alliance before Joachim was voted out. Shortly after his return Joachim was voted. Following Joachim's elimination, the original North team members eliminated Marit, the last original South team member. Ultimately, it was Emil Orderud who won the season over Eva Worren by an unknown jury vote.

Robinsonekspedisjonen 2004
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Robinsonekspedisjonen: 2004, was the sixth season of the Norwegian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson and it premiered on 5 September 2004 and aired until 4 December 2004. The sixth season started out with a twist, the contestants had to race from off the shore on to a beach and into a cage. The last person to reach the cage would be eliminated. Upon the end of the first challenge, the contestants were then told that they had to stay in the cage until one of them left the cage. They were told that the person who left the cage first would be eliminated. Starting with these first two eliminated, all eliminated contestants were sent to a place called 'Utopia', where they would compete in a duel in order to earn a spot in the final four. Following the end of the cage challenge, the contestants were split into two tribes of nine. In episode five, there was a huge tribal swap in which five of the fifthteen remaining contestants swapped tribes. Along with this, those who swapped tribes were given immunity at their new tribes first tribal council. In episode six, the South team was shocked when in a twist Rebecca, the person they had just voted out, was able to eliminate someone in her place. Rebecca chose to eliminate Tom 'Piippo' Piippo. In episode thirteen, the remaining members of the merge tribe were put in pairs and told that they would vote and be eliminated in a pair at the next tribal council. When it came time for the final four, all the eliminated contestants faced off in Utopia. Anne Sivertsen won the duel and was allowed to return to the competition. Eventually, Jan Gundersen won the season with an unknown jury vote over Anne Sivertsen.

Expedition Robinson: VIP, was the first celebrity version of Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries, to air in Scandinavia and it aired in 2005. This was also one the first editions of Expedition Robinson in which more than one country participated as Denmark, Norway, and Sweden were each represented by five of the fifthteen celebrities who took part. As part of the multi-country twist this season the contestants were divided into tribes based on their countries of origin. Eventually Swedish celebrity Tilde Fröling won the season by a jury vote of 5-2 over Norwegian celebrity Jan Simonsen.

Robinsonekspedisjonen 2007
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Robinsonekspedisjonen: 2007, was the seventh season of the Norwegian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson and it premiered on the 9th of September 2007 and aired until the 2nd of December 2007. As this was the first season of Robinson to air since its initial cancellation in 2007, the producers decided to take the show back to its roots. However, there were a few twists throughout the season, the first being that the eighteen initial contestants were forced to compete in an endurance competition before they were split into teams. The two contestants to quit the competition first were eliminated. The next twist came in episode two in which a joker, Linni Meister, entered the game. In episode four, Merete Svenningdal was voted as the least deserving person to win the game by her fellow South team members. Following the vote, Merete was moved to the North team. Following Gunnar Norbeck's evacuation in episode eleven, Peter Arambasic, who had been eliminated in a challenge just prior to the merge, returned to the game in his place. Norbeck was eventually eliminated in a duel against Anne-Grete. In episode thirteen, Kenneth and Vibeke had to compete in a duel in order to determine who would return to the game. Ultimately, it was Ann-Kristin Otnes who won the season with a jury vote of 5-3 over Anne-Grete Strand.

Robinsonekspedisjonen 2008
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Robinsonekspedisjonen: 2008, was the eighth season of the Norwegian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson, and it premiered on 5 September 2008 and aired until 5 December 2008. The major twist in season eight was the "Heaven and Hell" living areas that the tribes lived in. The North team won the first immunity challenge and earned the right to live in "Heaven", which included huts and beds, while the losers, South team, were forced to live in a bat cave. The season is also remembered for the high amount of contestants to leave the show either voluntarily or in an evacuation. Throughout the season, there were several minor twists put into to place such as the elimination duel between Manuel and Susanne in episode 2 and the double elimination the South team faced when they chose to through a challenge in order to eliminate a team member. The biggest twist of all occurred when the teams merged. At the time of the merge there were only seven original contestants left in the tribe, however due to the amount of contestants who left early, three reserves entered. Preceding the merge was an elimination challenge which George Stephen Vaz lost, however it was later revealed that this was not a real elimination challenge and that he could earn a spot back in the game if he won it against the contestant of his choice. Vaz chose Hege Reime as his opponent and won the duel. Unlike in most years, instead of there being a final four there was a final three that faced off in a challenge to determine who would face the jury. Ultimately, it was Tom Tveitan who won the season over Britt Carin Jonassen with an unknown jury vote.

Robinsonekspedisjonen 2009
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Robinsonekspedisjonen: 2009, was the ninth season of the Norwegian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson and it premiered on the 6th of September 2009 and aired until the 6th of December 2009. The major twist this season was that of Team X, a team of contestants that had previously been eliminated. The formation of Team X started with a fake elimination of two players in a challenge in episode one. Two more players were fake eliminated in episode one when both tribe leaders were told that thy had to choose one member of their tribe to eliminate. In episode 3, Peder was fake eliminated in a duel against Kristoffer. Following the duel Kristoffer swapped tribes. The final two members of Team X joined when in episode 4 Team X competed in a challenge against North team and South team. North team finished last in the challenge and as a result was eliminated, however, Team X was told that they could save one member of the North team from elimination. Team X chose to save Iris, which meant that she then became part of Team X. Severin also became part of Team X as his the North team decided to give him immunity before the challenge. From episode 5 until the merge, South team and Team X competed in challenges against each other. Following the merge, Peder was ejected from the game for faking an injury. As the game progressed, the original South team members began to pick off what was left of Team X until only South team members remained in the game. Like the season that preceded it, this season had a final three instead of a final four. The last three players faced off in two challenges in order to determine the finalists. Ultimately, it was Lina Iversen who won the season over Christian Flotvik with a jury vote of 5-2.

Robinsonekspedisjonen 2010
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jump to: navigation, search
Robinsonekspedisjonen: 2010, is the tenth season of the Norwegian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson and it premiered on the 12th of September 2010.[1] The main twist this season is that the teams are divided up by region of origin with the members of the north team coming from northern Norway and the members of the south team coming from southern Norway. In episode 3, Kristine Ditlefsen, Jeanetter Elstad, Cecilie Heramb, and Tone Olsen all entered the game as jokers with two of each joining one of the two teams. The game changed again in episode 5 when the teams were dissolved and two new teams were formed based on gender. In a twist, in episode 6 Kim Cesar, Synnøve Kalleklev, Lisbeth Larsen, and Bjørnar Rødal entered the game as members of the newly formed west team. Along with this, in episode 6 the contestants temporarily returned to their original teams. However, following a duel in the same episode between David Sandem and Jeanette Elstad, in which Jeanette was eliminated, the two teams merged. Shoretly after the merge took place the remaining contestants were evacuated from the island for about ten days due to a bird flu break out. In episode 7, the west competed in an individual immunity challenge. After the challenge, Kim was eliminated by the winner of the challenge Bjørnar. Following this, Bjørnar along with Lisbeth and Synnøve joined the merge tribe. In episode 12, Atle Hansen and Synnøve competed in a duel against each other in which Synnøve was eliminated and Atle received reward. In the final episode of the season, the four semi-finalists initially competed in the plank competition. Following the challenge Tone was voted out of the game by the winner and first finalist Alita Kristensen. Then the two remaining losers of the first competition, Atle and Stian Schie, competed in a final duel. Stian won and became the second finalist. Eventually, Alita Dagmar Kristensen won the season over Stian Schie by a jury vote of 8-3, becoming the first contestant to have begun the competition on the North team to win since 2004.

^Note 1 : Following their win at the immunity challenge, the north team was allowed to give one member of the south team immunity at tribal council. The north team chose to give immunity to David.
^Note 2 : During the immunity challenge, Christer revealed an individual immunity idol back at the starting line. The first person from the losing team to reach this idol would have immunity at the second tribal council. As Arvid reached it first, he was immune at the second tribal council.
^Note 3 : As Maria was the only person not to receive an amulet at the second tribal council, she was eliminated from the game.
^Note 4 : At the third tribal council, both Alita and Ken had two votes they could cast as opposed to just one.
^Note 5 : Following their win at the immunity challenge, the south team was allowed to give one member of the north team immunity at tribal council. The south team chose to give immunity to Ken.
^Note 6 : At the fifth immunity challenge, Tone, having the won the challenge for the newly formed Women's tribe, was given the power to choose who of the men would have immunity at the fifth tribal council through shooting plates that had their names on them. As both David and Stian's plates were still intact when Tone ran out of bullets they both had immunity at the fifth tribal council. In addition to this, David and Stian were the only ones who could vote at the fifth tribal council.
^Note 7 : Jeanette was eliminated after losing a duel against David.
^Note 8 : Following an individual immunity challenge that only the West team competed in, Bjørnar, as the winner, was told that he had to immediately vote out one member of the team. He chose to eliminate Kim.
^Note 9 : As both Cecilie and Daniel received five votes at the seventh tribal council, all of the other contestants were told they had to vote again in a re-vote.
^Note 10 : At the ninth tribal council, the contestant that received the most votes would be forced to compete in a duel against their partner from the reward challenge. As a result, David faced off in a duel against Bjørnar to determine who would be eliminated. Ultimately, David won the duel.
^Note 11 : At the tenth tribal council, Synnøve was immune as she had bought immunity during the auction that took place at the reward challenge.
^Note 12 : As the contestants were temporarily split into two groups following the reward challenge, two immunity challenges took place.
^Note 13 During the second vote at the eleventh tribal councils, only David and Kristine could be voted for and could not vote.
^Note 14 Synnøve was eliminated after losing a duel to Atle.
^Note 15 As Atle won the duel against Synnøve, he was also given reward which he could share with one other person.
^Note 16 As Kristine received the most votes in the second vote at the twelfth tribal council, she was forced to compete in a duel against Stian, which she lost.
^Note 17 As Tone was technically the last person voted out of the game, she was allowed to vote twice during the jury vote.

^1 At the first tribal council, David was given immunity by the north team.

^5 At the fourth tribal council, Ken was given immunity by the south team.
^6 At the fifth tribal council, as David and Stian had immunity they were the only members on the men's tribe that were eligible to vote.
^7 Following his win at the West team's immunity challenge, Bjørnar was the only one permitted to vote.
^8 At the seventh tribal council, both Cecilie and Daniel received five votes. as Daniel received more votes in the re-vote he was eliminated.
^9 At the ninth tribal council, the contestant that received the most votes would be forced to compete in a duel against their partner from the reward challenge. As a result, David faced off in a duel against Bjørnar to determine who would be eliminated. Ultimately, David won the duel.
^10 During the second vote at the eleventh tribal council, only David and Kristine could be voted for and were not allowed to vote.
^11 As Atle and Kristine both received votes during the initial vote at the twelfth tribal council, they were the only two who could receive votes during the second vote to determine who would face off against Stian in a duel. As Kristine received more votes she faced Stian in the duel in which she lost and was eliminated.

^Note 1 : As his team won the reward challenge and with it his duel, Arild was awarded individual immunity.
^Note 2 : Though Gabriel was initially not chosen by either tribe, he was given the choice to pick someone else that would be eliminated instead of him. Before he could make his decision Christina stated that she would take his place so he wouldn't have to choose.
^Note 3 : Prior to the vote the members of the South Team were asked to vote for two people that they thought deserved to be eliminated. As Anita was the person voted out of the tribe the two people she voted for, Even and Jon, were also told that they too would be excluded from the tribe. The three were then told that they would live together in exile until one of them left the competition.
^Note 4 : Following the vote at tribal council, Bård Anders and Marianne took part in a duel in which the winner would get immunity and a spot in the merge tribe while the loser would be eliminated from the game.
^Note 5 : When Lillan won immunity in episode eight she also won two extra votes at tribal council.
^Note 6 : There was no vote at tribal council in episode nine as the three contestants marked by the mole correctly identified the mole as Nikolina.
^Note 7 : In episode ten the contestants were initially voting for which contestant they wanted to take part in an elimination duel. As a result of this vote Hans-Olaf and Nicolas were forced to compete in said duel. Hans-Olaf won the duel so Nicolas was eliminated.
^Note 8 : In episode eleven Hans-Olaf won a positive twist (two extra votes), as did Lillan (the right to take away someone's vote), while Morten received a negative twist (the loss of his right to vote).

^1 Arild and Beatrice's tribes were both competing in a duel while their tribes were competing for reward. Who's ever tribe won the challenge would win immunity while the one who's tribe lost would be eliminated.
^2 At the first tribal council, Arild was given immunity as his tribe won the first duel.
^3 Though Gabriel was initially not chosen by either tribe, he was given the choice to pick someone else that would be eliminated instead of him. Before he could make his decision Christina stated that she would take his place so he wouldn't have to choose.
^4 Prior to the vote the members of the South Team were asked to vote for two people that they thought deserved to be eliminated. As Anita was the person voted out of the tribe the two people she voted for, Even and Jon, were also told that they too would be excluded from the tribe. The three were then told that they would live together in exile until one of them left the competition.
^5 Following the vote at tribal council, Bård Anders and Marianne took part in a duel in which the winner would get immunity and a spot in the merge tribe while the loser would be eliminated from the game.
^6 When Lillan won immunity in episode eight she also won two extra votes at tribal council.
^7 At the ninth tribal council, both Bård Anders and Hans Christian received five votes. As Bård Anders received more votes in the re-vote he was eliminated.
^8 There was no vote at tribal council in episode nine as the three contestants marked by the mole correctly identified the mole as Nikolina.
^9 In episode ten the contestants were initially voting for which contestant they wanted to take part in an elimination duel. As a result of this vote Hans-Olaf and Nicolas were forced to compete in said duel. Hans-Olaf won the duel so Nicolas was eliminated.
^10 In episode eleven Hans-Olaf won a positive twist (two extra votes), as did Lillan (the right to take away someone's vote), while Morten received a negative twist (the loss of his right to vote).
^11 Prior to voting beginning at the twelfth tribal council, Hans Christian used his hidden immunity idol. This meant that no one could vote for Hans Christian.

^Note 1 :Following their victory at the fifth reward challenge, the South team was allowed to choose one person that would join them on their reward.
^Note 2 :At the fifth tribal immunity challenge two idols were placed in the center of the challenge area. The player from the losing tribe that grabbed their idol first would be immune at the fifth tribal council.
^Note 3 :Prior to the merge in episode 6, both tribes were asked to choose one person that would not make the merge. The North team chose Lucas while the South picked Lasse. The two men were then asked to pick one other person from their tribe that would also fall short of the merge. Ultimately, Lucas picked Edwin while Lasse picked Robert. The four men were then forced to pick one of them that would take part in a duel against someone from the merge tribe, someone who would automatically join the merge tribe and have immunity at the first tribal council, and two people that would be eliminated regardless of the duel's outcome. Lucas was picked to join the Robinson tribe, Lasse was picked to duel, and Edwin and Robert were picked to be eliminated. Lasse then chose Erik to face him in the duel.
^Note 4 :At the sixth tribal council, Lucas lost his immunity as he broke the rule of communicating with the outside world when he used a cellphone to make a personal call.

Robinsonekspedisjonen 2013 (also known as Robinson: Paradise vs. Robinson), is the thirteenth season of the Norwegian version of the Swedish show Expedition Robinson. This season premiered in September 2013 and will finish in early December. The main twist this season is that all the contestants have taken part in a reality show prior to this season. Half of the contestants are veterans from previous seasons of Robinson while the other half are from the reality show Paradise Hotel. The contestants will be split into two tribes based on which format they previously took part in.[1]
