The American Bible Challenge

Dear Readers,
Anyone can spout Bible verses. How much of Jewish and Christian history do the contestants of the game understand? How much of the Quran or the Bhagavad Gita, do they know? How much Islamic history do they understand. Why is no religious Jew or even a Christian brave enough to stone their disobedient child or children to death, when their religion commands it? I ask questions like this all the time. Maybe because the Bible is wrong about how to deal with unruly children? Can this be a reasonable answer. If we stoned all unruly kids to death, the planet would die out. I heard an atheist actually won the Bible Challenge once. Most atheists in North America were raised in religious homes, specifically by Christian families and seem to know what is written in the Bible pretty well and even know the history of how the text was compiled, something that many Christians don't know.
I think one reason so many people are atheists is because they have read the Bible and find that it's claims have no good evidence to support them and find many of the prescribed rules in such a text to be filled with immorality that conflicts with out own innate senses of right and wrong. Think about it.
Sincerely,
B.W.
