The "VeggieTales" films seem to teach kids some sort of lesson from the Bible, whether the story the film is focusing on is Biblical or not. Well, there are some "lessons" in the Bible that I don't think that children should really abide by. For instance, who would want to teach their child that prostitute daughters of rabbis are to be burned to death or that pregnant adulteresses must drink poison in order to prove whether they have cheated on their husbands? If I had children or grandchildren, I wouldn't let them read the more violent pars of the Bible until they were older and I'd have them look at the ideas of Biblical, archaeology, Biblical textual criticism and analysis and not make them feel that they have to believe any of it if they don't want to. I would do the same thing for all religions.
