I have said this before, it seems to me that living a life without dating or having sex is viewed as an "honor" in Christianity. It seems that that "honor" is and has been forced upon unmarried couples, same-sex couples, polyamorous couples who are still members of the Christian religion.  The Apostle Paul wasn't too fond of sex it seems.  I think he preferred all men to lead celibate lives like he did.  Paul wasn't a very tolerant person in general in seems. In his epistles, he seems to be quite homophobic and misogynistic . He had a deep hatred of paganism.  He was a Pharisaical Jew of Roman descent who murdered Christians before becoming a Christian himself and he also seemed to distort many of Jesus' teachings which are rooted in Judaism.

Jesus being a rabbi who preached about the upcoming apocalypse probably wasn't married because he believed that Yahweh's kingdom would soon be established on earth, so he probably wouldn't have wasted his time.  It's interesting that Lot didn't marry one or both of his daughters after they got him drunk and became impregnated by him after the cities of Sodom, Gomorrah and the plains were destroyed.  They were supposedly the last of their people.  Lot's wife was destroyed for merely looking back at her home being destroyed, was that really such an "evil" act? I find the idea of Lot and his daughters having incestuous sexual relationships more abhorrent.  Why didn't Yahweh just impregnate them himself or why didn't Lot marry a Gentile woman and have her convert to Judaism?  Yet in the Hebrew texts, in seems that Yahweh has no problem with polygamy, yet when Moses leads the Jews to the "promised land" incestuous relationships become banned, why does it seem that incestuous relationships weren't looked down on by Yahweh before then?

It is interesting that many of the Hebrew patriarchs in the Bible were involved in polygamous marriages.  Whatever happened to Jewish polygamy?  Most Christians don't practice polygamy, except for the Fundamentalist Mormons.  Orthodox Mormons believe that they will be in polygamous marriages in the afterlife, but they don't currently follow this practice.  King David and Solomon seemed to be polygamous as did Abraham.  In Mormonism, Yahweh supposedly has numerous wives who live with him in the Kolob star system.  It's interesting how in the Hebrew texts, numerous Jewish matriarchs become supernaturally impregnated, kind of like how Jesus' mother Mary was.  However the word "virgin" had a different meaning in the 1st century.  Jesus had siblings. The whole "virgin" concept was written into the four Gospels to illustrate the early Christians' belief that Jesus was the Messiah whom is prophesized about in Judaism.
