I have commented on this ad before, but I will do it again.  It seems to me that women are degraded in the Christian texts.  I think that in one of his Epistles, Paul writes that any women under the age of 60 are not good people. In the Jewish texts, women are not treated much better.  Paul practically blames the "fallen" state of humanity on Eve because she was the first to be deceived by the serpent in the garden of Eden and not Adam. It seems to me that the serpent was being honest when it told Eve that instead of dying, if Eve ate from the tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, she would become knowledgeable in the same way that Yahweh was knowledgeable.  After Adam and Eve eat from the tree, Yahweh says to the Elohim which is considered by many Biblical scholars as being the council of the Hebrew pantheon of gods who were also previously worshipped by the Hebrews at one time, that Adam and Eve have become just like them.  It seems to me that Adam and Eve didn't even know what the concept of morality even was before they ate from the tree.

Adam and Eve didn't even feel shame over being naked before eating from the tree.  Nakedness is technically our natural state.  We are all born naked. Yahweh curses Eve by making her feel pain when giving birth to her children. Adam and Eve are cursed by growing old and they have to farm the land outside of Eden to earn a living.  I always wonder who Cain's wife was and where did she come from?  Could he have been in an incestuous relationship with one of his sisters or perhaps he married a Gentile woman who was not among Yahweh's "chosen" people?  Why couldn't there have been other human beings besides Adam, Eve and their children who were living in other parts of the Middle East when this story was created?
