An ethnoreligious group (or ethno-religious group) is an ethnic group of people whose members are also unified by a common religious background. Ethnoreligious communities define their ethnic identity neither exclusively by ancestral heritage nor simply by religious affiliation, but often through a…

Daymon Smith I think it was considered an ethnic group back in the 1940s and 50s, which is why O'Dea came as part of the "five cultures" study. But I could be wrong.

I stumbled across a very informative video challenging Kerry Muhlstein's recent claims about the Book of Abraham and the papyri. I'm attaching it here: http://youtu.be/_KLa8HYsfpM
In the spirit of "fair" play, I'm also including a response from the FAIR LDS group/blog/organization here: http://www.fairblog.org/2013/03/06/reverend-spalding-strikes-again-a-response-to-internet-criticism-of-kerry-muhlesteins-book-of-abraham-videos/

Byron Rangiwai
I am thankful to be accepted onto this page. My name is Byron Rangiwai, and I come from the islands of Aotearoa New Zealand. I served a mission for the church (well a sister's mission really lol 1.5 years), but was excommunicated by the Mission President and sent home. I have been excommunicated for over ten years. I have a very broad theology which is inclusive of all sorts of spiritual knowledge incorporating indigenous, Maori (Native New Zealander), LDS, and Anglican (Episcopal) perspectives. I am so happy to find others who think broadly as well and seek further light and knowledge.

Jonathan Brown Sorry to hear of your troubles Erik Kulick we of course at the Society for Humanistic Mormonism support you 110%. What went on here went against your human dignity and just basic human rights. This is one of the reasons why the LDS Church's policy against those that do not fit in to a cookie cutter Mormon life style should end. It goes against compassion and human kindness, not to mention reason.
