Reminds me   of those ghastly commercials Sally Struthers used to do for one of those fake "adopt-a-third-world-child" orgs.  95% of the money went to administration and overhead.

Courtesy of goodasyou.org, Focus on the Family is running a fundraising ad that presents an opportunity no one should miss out on. (Or as Winston Churchill would say, out on which no one should miss.)
While normally a $40 donation will (somehow) help save a god-created-and-blessed heterosexual relationship, now they're kindly offering a twofer! Yes, that same $40 donation will now (somehow) help save not one but two god-blah-blah-blah heterosexual relationships. This reminds me of collections that were constantly taken up in my Catholic grade school. Every $5.00 collected would buy a "pagan baby." Such bargains these Christians offer!

What I never understood was how many guys I skated with professionally were gay AND Catholic.  (I quit going to church when the celebrity suck-up minister told me I was going to go to hell if I went into showbiz. I was slowly sliding away from that Bapturd church, anyway, so it was no big loss.)
Why would anyone be loyal to an ideology that taught them, starting in elementary school, that they were dreadful sinners who didn't deserve to live?
You should have seen them backstage crossing themselves when the overture began....  I did NOT laugh; I loved them too much to hurt their feelings.  But they puzzled me.

What Catholics or any of them don't realise is that in a different time and place they could be certified as in need of medical supervision. Pathological delusion is not going to be considered socially acceptable indefinitely.

Bertold, those Catholics are so clueless.  They claim that we mock their video because we are threatened by its message and that we're trying to silence them.  They have no f-ing idea that we're totally making fun of them.  They have no idea that they themselves are entirely responsible for their own decline and irrelevance.  We're not silencing them, they're voices are fewer.

You are right Eddie.  This death toll is greater than the recent Tsunami in Japan.  People wouldn't quit talking about the tsunami.  The 29,000 figure here is just kids, too.  Not including adults.  I keep thinking that as a people we are better than this.  But we are not.

If they were Caucasians of course people would notice. It's sad when you have boxers showing off by burning hundred dollar bills not to mention the billions wasted on unnecessary wars. Those people are dying at no fault of their own. The whole world should be sending some type of relief. Maybe they would be better off if they had a tsunami like in Japan. But then the Japan is a well off nation. Their catastrophes can effect the rest of the world. So the world reacts.

29,000 Somali kids died of starvation in the past 90 days.

I wonder if anyone is paying attention.  If this was 29,000 Belgians, say, or 29,000 Welsh, would people notice?

Dallas, thanks form me as well.  This story pisses me off.  That it occurred on a mainstream Chicago network TV station is especially interesting.  It would be interesting to get the editors' point of view - what were they thinking?  What were they not thinking?  Pretty sad.

Norwegian shooter had plastic surgery so he would look more Aryan.  It's interesting how the reports keep repeating he is blue eyed and blonde. I wonder if his hair is bleached too?  ""Hitler would have had him on posters. He has the perfect, classic Aryan face,"

Erasing Hate.  Huff Post.  Former neonazi skinhead white supremist.   The documentary airs Sunday, June 26th, at 9 P.M.  From the clips, this guy was a very scary man from sad beginnings.  Apparentely he turned around and ultimately reached out to his direct opposite, anti-racist individuals and the Southern Povery Law Center.  I don't know if I will get to watch it - my TV time is very limited.
