Christianity is pretty much just another religion, it really isn't much more. Jesus wasn't really all that special. The historical Jesus is an interesting figure, considering that the world's largest religion was inspired by him, but he didn't seem to have too much to do with it after he died. He largely doesn't seem to fit the established ideas of the Messiah as taught by Judaism in the 1st century. Paul of Tarsus, the early Christians and the authors of the Gospels dismissed or tried to re-explain certain teachings of Jesus that were clearly Jewish in their origins which they strayed from and every historian, Biblical scholar and archeologist teaching with verifiable credentials whose work has been peer-reviewed, that teaches at an accredited university will tell you about how Christianity was started and rejected some of the controversial Jewish aspects of Yeshua's teachings. Judaism for instance, is far more than a religion, it is an ethnicity and a set of varied cultures with differing practices. Judaism's origins go back 5,000 years in ancient Israel. Christianity isn't that special, if you critically examine it with an unbiased perspective.
I have Jewish blood in me from my dad's side of the family, despite being mostly African-American. Judaism is not all that special, but I have found it to more interesting on a personal level.
