A more gracious and probably better response than I have in my emotions to give.

As always, TheOnion.com gets it right.  All that money, $840,000  to the anti-gay-marriage pizza place.  Barronelle Stutzman , the florist who got herself into trouble by refusing flowers for a gay wedding, just made $87,000 for her trouble.    Will someone please come to me for gay wedding services so I can refuse and make beaucoup $$$ for my suffering?

It is kind of interesting that a seedy pizza place made all of that money, not by actually refusing service, but by stating they would refuse service if a gay couple wanted them to cater their wedding with their cardboard-like pizzas.

Huckabee's boyfriend must have dumped him.  He's in antigay-overload.  Or, is he pandering to evangelicals in hope for a presidential bid?  He wouldn't be that cynical and manipulative would he?  Such a good christian?

"militant gays put pressure on Indiana and Arkansas"

"gay activists won't stop until there are no more churches"
" Huckabee labeled the support of equality and the LGBT community from companies like Apple, Salesforce, and Angie's List as "bizzarre," and their CEOs as "capitulating" to the left. He called the outrage across the nation "a phony crisis."

Of course, Huckleberry Hound earlier claimed "having to accept gay marriage was like telling Jews to serve “bacon-wrapped shrimp in their deli”.

Meanwhile, the almost forgotten and ever vile Ann Coulter had to get into it, "The small town owners of pizzeria have more Christian courage than most Christian leaders and certainly the Republican party. The one thing every Christian should have is courage. Go out and fight. You’re afraid of being sneered at by the New York Times? “Most people would rather risk getting Ebola that being called a homophobe or racist.”

Shit.  The season of hypocritical bile is upon us.

Christians to serve us! I think I need a good house cleaning christian slave, and maybe one to mow the lawn. And the car really needs washing.
Well, maybe it's not going to go quite that far.

Such a great perspective - It's OK to discriminate against gays here because they hang us in Iran.

First woman bishop in the Church of England, says (I'm paraphrasing), "I got my equality, against BIblical command and tradition so screw you, LGBT people!  In the nicest possible mealy mouthed way".

Ah religion, brings out "the best" in people.  Especially the insiders, and among those, especially the newest insiders.

It was silly to pit Hitchens and Fry vs. the Archbishop and Widdecombe. It presented a lost opportunity for some stimulating thinking. In this case, it was raw comedy.

Bertold, I have seen our side of that debate multiple times, and the dynamic duo of Hitchens and Fry are positively devastating.  By comparison, Widdecombe is shrill and the bishop vacuous ... and they were roundly and thoroughly DRUBBED.

Oh! Bertold, thank you for that information about Susan G. Komen. What a decent and intelligent thing to do. With people such as Susan, we might just have a humane government, after all.

David Badash at The New Civil Rights Movement comments on that lie-in-sheep's-clothing that paints LGBTQ people seeking equality as disguised predators. (That is their intended message!)

Daniel, you're right about Pope Francis, who recently showed his true colors by backing Slovakia's failed marriage ban referendum.

Somehow that sheep doesnt send me the intended message. It looks like a wolf has dressed up as a gay friendly sheep but is still a wolf. Like, say, the current supposedly kinder gentler pontiff. He has pretended to be gay friendly but at heart the catholic empire must still prevail.

I thought The Onion was a satire/parody site, not real news.
That pizza place isn't worth $840,000; whatta rip-off.  (IF that headline is true.)
