I found this new trend hard to reconcile with the Christian faith but apparently some have found ways to justify it. I though I would share this story with you and indulge you in the intrigue: http://www.orlandosentinel.com/features/gone-viral/os-florida-bodyb...

Hey, if you're already ignoring the business about poly-cotton blends, seafood, and stoning rebellious children, then what's the big deal about a little swinging?

As long as they are not wearing poly cotton blends while swapping partners, it should be ok. To be safe, maybe they should avoid serving clams and shrimp coctail at their... um.... worship services, too.

Well, of course they are Christians. You don't think they are heathen do you? Maybe they wanted to pump a little more than just iron.   :)

Cristy Parave says in the video, "I just feel like, as a married couple you agree on something together, then it's ok."
[As opposed to feeling bound by ancient traditions that evolved in a patriarchal society without effective birth control.]

Their probably teetering atheists that can’t take that last step

The easy reasoning of a xtian: "I'm a xtian so what I do must be god's will."

Considering that it's been demonstrated that when someone claims to know god's will, they're really talking about their own, your statement is unsurprisingly accurate, Chris.

I would agree that people who claim to know the "will" of a deity are usually talking about their own will.  I think it's ironic that the things most religious people dislike, their one or more deities also  happens to dislike.  For instance, if same-sex relationships make you uncomfortable, you can quote  a passage from a religious text that claims same-sex relationships are an "abomination" and that they are "unnatural" and that same-sex couples "will not inherit the kingdom" of said deity, which are written in the Jewish and Christian scriptures.  Yet there is no scientific, medical or physical evidence to support such claims that is conclusive, peer-reviewed and testable. The Fundamentalist Mormons still continue to practice polygamy, despite the fact that the Orthodox Mormons don't actively practice in this life, but they supposedly will in the next life.

If there are Christians who practice polyamory, then why couldn't there be Christians who are swinging and into spouse swapping.  It would be easier, I think, to use the Jewish scriptures to justify practicing polygamy.  "The Book of Mormon" would be another good text to use in regards to practicing polygamy.  Swinging culture, doesn't seem to be mentioned in the Bible.  Oh, well, most humans don't base their life's decision on religious texts which hold to some views and practices that aren't useful for people in the 21st century.
