Jurassic World Update: Filming to start in Louisiana on June 2nd, 2014!

Accoridng to Production Weekly, the film start date for Jurassic World has changed to June 2nd, 2014 in Louisiana! Initially, the fourth Jurassic Park was said to start filming eariler in the year in Hawaii, but it looks like the Hawaii shoot might take place later on. Here's the Tweet, Production Weekly just made:


This is extremely exciting news, as we'll only have to wait 5 more months before production photos, plot details and cast interviews for Jurassic World start to make the rounds! It's good news,but still I continue not to understand why they keep postponing these shootings everytime!
They first started staying last December that they'd start rolling early this Winter,probably in March,and now in June?Oh c'mon!I'm sure that another news will come out saying that it will film after Summer among Sep-Oct and so on......

Finally someone other than me has expressed some concern that these filming dates keep being postponed forever! First late 2013, then March 2014, now June? Come on, guys!!! A little further down the road and this movie will be pushed back to 2016! Or worse! We know this fourth installment of the JP franchise hasn't been lucky about postponements.
Honestly, I'm worried. I wish I weren't, but I am. Will JW see the light of day in this lifetime??

Yeah I am worried,and given the facts,there are huge possibilities that it won't be filmed til after Summer....I really hope they are saying the truth.There's so much work going on and is not easy to finish all the dino's creations,pc graphics and robots,I hope they already have all almost done and ready to be used.And the script?Have all of the actors read and learned their parts of the script yet?I think it's not possible that they still don't know which actors to pick up,and that Sam Neil is still waiting to be called.....I mean,keep in mind that it needs time to learn their own parts in a movie,so will they make it in time?

Thanks for replying. I had been feeling "desperately alone in my concern" lol
Anyway, I don't mean to sound negative or off-putting. Every time I see news of the beginning of filming I see our friends here celebrating it, but nobody seems to worry that there's already been a series of postponements.
I really, with all my heart, hope JW really premieres on June 12, 2015.

Sam Neill says he's not needed in Jurassic World

While filming an upcoming film The Adventurer: The Curse of Midas Box in Australia, Jurassic Park's Sam Neill took a few moments to discuss his latest projects with Examiner.com and during the interview, as expected, the topic of Jurassic World came up. Here's what was said...


Examiner: [laughs] Actually, I wanted to squeeze in one question. I’m pretty sure you’ve been asked a lot about “Jurassic Park” and the new one that’s coming out [“Jurassic World”]. Even though you are not in it, if [the filmmakers] were to call you up and say, “Hey can you come in for a part in this, or even a cameo appearance?” would you still do it?
Sam Neill: Look, you never say no. I think there’s a whole new cast and a whole new look at things, and I think that’s great. As I said, I’d never say no, but I wish them… well, I’m sure it’s going to be great, but they don’t need me.
Now, before everyone continues to feel depressed that Sam will likely not be returning to Jurassic World, we must consider the sort of tradition fashioned in the last 3 Jurassic Park films regarding returning cast mates.
Jurassic Park saw everyone together, enduring a terrifying adventure through a Dinosaur-infested theme park. In the sequel, The Lost World: Jurassic Park, the story focused on Ian Malcolm's character, played by Jeff Goldblum as well as his girlfriend, who was played by Julianne Moore. It wasn't until the third Jurassic Park, JP3 that Sam Neill returned to the franchise, this time, completely negating any screentime for Goldblum's character.
So, if this trend is anything to go by, it would make sense that Sam Neill will not be a part of Jurassic World, but instead it's more likely we will see Jeff Goldblum return as Ian Malcolm. Jeff even hinted at the fact that he may be taking part in the fourth Jurassic Park back in September! So, it's highly probable that we'll be seeing Goldblum returning in Jurassic World and perhaps we'll be treated to a cameo by Sam Neill in the following sequel!
It was already confirmed back in October that Laura Dern would not be returning to the franchise either, which further leads us to speculate that Jeff Goldblum will be the "classic character" we may be privy to in Jurassic World.
But what do you think? Aside from being obviously saddened by the lack of Sam Neill in the Jurassic Park franchise's re-birth, what are your thoughts of Goldblum returning and possibly seeing Neill and Dern return for the Jurassic World sequel? Let us know by commenting below!

Yh thats right there is still hope for the sequals :) he at least needs a mention in this film tho so there is a connection i think.
as for ian malcolm, prob my favourite character id say i like his humour.

I liked him as a supporting actor tho more than the main guy! All thouhh jeff goldblum did a gd job at TLW i preferd his sarcastic "everything is going to go wrong" laid back approach of the first film. Im sure there is a few who agree. His lines in the lost world were quality, "ooo ahhh thats how all this starts, lateR Theres  err running and and screaming" i liked that imput, been there done it sort of attitude.

In truth tho any cameo role would be appreciated :)

Well, at least we have one character returning. Plus, Joseph Mazello (actor of Tim in the original JP) might have at least a small part, but it's extremely unlikely.

I'm not that obsessed about original cast members returning. I'd much rather have a consistent, believable and sound plot going on, than original characters returning just for the sake of it (as, in my opinion, was the case of Sam Neill in JPIII). If they do return, obviously, so long as the plot is intelligent, I'll be happy about it and I'll certainly praise them. If there's no really good reason to bring them back, to me it's "let it rest".
I want true dinos (not the pathetic and almost cartoon-like spinosaurs-with-the-satellite-phone-ringing-in-his-belly) in the movie. I want the atmosphere of the first film back (which, to me, was completely lost in the third one), and, most of all, I want to see Nublar again in it.
Now whether they will bring Neill or Goldblum back, to me, it's of very little importance.

Jurassic park does need you Dr Alan Grant! You made Paleontologists cool, you were like a scientist action hero when I was a kid.
I honestly would like to see Sam neill back in world, not just for Nostalgia but who else would you trust to keep you safe on that island. Hes been there, he knows the layout. We can relive the Nostaliga of seeing the Island again after so long with the character himself.

Phil Tippett reunites with ILM for visual effects on Jurassic World!

News on the fourth Jurassic Park film, Jurassic World continues to slowly trickle in. Phil Tippett has been at the center of it all for the past week, after he confirmed that he would in fact be returning to the franchise as "Dinosaur Supervisor" - because he did such a good job of that with the first one, haha. The jokes continue and even Phil himself has played into it, by posting the following image on his Facebook page:


But, in addition to his confirmation, which we mentioned just a few days ago, Phil also has announced that he will be reuniting with the team at ILM for production on Jurassic World - the same VFX company who brought Dinosaurs to life 20 years ago with Jurassic Park. Tippett made the announcement via his Facebook page, where he said:
"It's official! #JurassicWorld is coming, & someone's gotta supervise those dinosaurs. Looking forward to working with Team ILM, 20 years later & 20 years stronger!" - Phil Tippett
Aside from this recent announcement, the news surrounding Jurassic World remains sparse as the Studio and company prepare to start filming in March. As production picks up however, be prepared for all kinds of updates, so be sure to keep a tab on JurassicWorld-Movie.com!

Good to know some original members of the team are coming back. I want to get the feel of the first Jurassic Park, which never fully came back on either of the sequels. So far, I do hope the rumours about returning to Nublar are true. I want to see the old Jurassic Park back (even if it turns out to be a brand new remodeled one). I'm glad about the way things seem to be headed.

Jurassic World Starts Filming Early March!

Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World will begin filming in Kauai, Hawaii in early March, 2014 according to a tweet made by Kauaimovieguy, who reports movie news for the island. You can check out his tweet below:
In related news, director Colin Trevorrow also recently tweeted an image of Phil Tippet, Dinosaur Supervisor for Jurassic Park, holding a model of a Tyrannosaurus Rex. This definitely confirms Phil is returning, but does it also confirmt hat T-Rex is a for sure addition to the movie? We certainly hope so. Check out the tweet below:

Sweet. Supports the theory that T-rex is coming back. Also means they are really gonna have to start pulling things together to get the cast ready. So I bet we'll hear some news in that aspect soon.

looks awesome. Im not sure if it is different or not really

i can deffinately see what ppl are saying. The brow ridges over his eyes look larger which would make his face more squared lookin from the front, but i actually reallly like it, almost horn like. :)

buzzing so much for this film. I want teasers but i think the best thing about the original was the lack of seeing anything! leaving you frustrated. Just a scene of the overgrown visitor centre n abbanodoned park would be enough to make every one go mad!

Looks pretty cool.  If you notice, the design for Rex in JP and Lost World are similar, then the design changed slightly for JPIII.  This design looks closer to III.

Also, I think that , as always it follows the tradition build of T-REX, however, it must be one of the demostration models fro teh actual movie they use to expirement with poistiong to see how the rex should move...

Colin Trevorrow wants Chris Pratt in Jurassic World

While news on Universal's Jurassic World has been slow lately, word on Chris Pratt's involvement seems even more likely after a recent comment he made during a press junket for his latest film Delivery Man. During the brief interview Pratt mentions his enthusiasm for wanting to take part and also makes a point of saying that Jurassic World director Colin Trevorrow is also enthusiastic to have him cast. Check out the excerpt below:
"I know I want to do it and I know the director (Colin Trevorrow) wants me to do it. So now it’s just a matter of everyone coming together and making sure it can work."


After Josh Brolin departed from the cast running, Chris Pratt seems like a good alternative. The character he's in the running for (and who he will most likely be cast as) is named Owen - a rugged, ex-military type individual, who we're betting has plans of eradicating the Dinosaurs from wherever they happen to be. We know Owen's plans get "foiled" as a result of Bryce Dallas Howard's character, a smart, corporate scientist - who could be trying to protect the assets (Dinosaurs) currently owned by whatever company (InGen / BioSyn) she works for. However, that's just speculation at this point.
Regardless, it's good to see that the likelyhood of Chris Pratt being cast is almost assured.

Jurassic Genetics - New 'Operation Genesis' Style Game in the Works! (Updated)

In addition to the excitement surrounding the development of Jurassic World, comes news of a new Jurassic Park game! Made in the same fashion as the hit PC Sim game Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis, this new game, entitled Jurassic Genetics seems to be the long-awaited sequel to Operation Genesis.

The project is a non-profit, fan created game, based heavily on the gameplay and structure of Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis in the sense that you will be able to control and manage the Dinosaurs of your park in a sim-style environment. A couple new features we noticed right off the bat were the apparent ability for your Dinosaurs to raise offspring and the massively improved visual graphics and terrain. Just have a look:


It's apparent that this will take the place of Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis 2, since that sequel was never pursued. This non-profit project looks to be setting out to create one of the best, if not the best Jurassic Park game ever!
According to the official site for this game, a tech demo for the game will be available on January 1st, 2014. You can check out some Alpha footage for the game below, which shows off some of the graphics, Dino-dynamics and user interface:


It's unclear how well the interactions between Dinosaurs, offspring and the poor visitors will be. More info has yet to be revealed before we can make any assumptions, but so far the game is looking like it could be quite popular with fans who enjoyed playing Operation Genesis - I know I did way back when it came out!
As far as variety of Dinosaurs, it looks like the team are staying tru to the canon of Jurassic Park and featuring all of our favorites like T-Rex, Raptors, Stegosaurus, etc... Again, more info about the diversity of playable Dinosaurs and characters has yet to be released.

I know eh, looks pretty sweet! The graphics and new terrain look great. I remember playing JPOG ages ago, was an addicting game. Nice to see an updated approach to the concept. I hope Universal supports these guys, because this looks like a hell of a project.

I can definitely understand the graphical power and components put into this game. This is using the Crytek engine, a system given to PC users that made the Crysis games. All of which have argueably some of the best graphics and such to date.
I bought the old JPOG but it wasn't compatible with my PS2 back in the day, which was terribly upsetting. Regardless though this and many other mods for great games such as Halo, I believe a Pacific Rim game and more are also being built. So I am excited to see a JP game that looks amazing coming as well~!

Wow, I'm so happy to see that the Jurassic Park Franchise will regain it's glory just like when I was a child. This will bring good memories, i especially hope the movie will give important roles to T. Rex since it was and still is my favorite. Jurassic Park kind of disapear in the early 2000`s even before the third movie that was such a deception for me and some fans came out. Now we will have Jurassic World movie, a new toy line, a new game, this is going to be great. I really hope that all of this bring us back to the popularity that this Franchise had when I was young, with the Jurassic Park and The Lost World movies that are for me and still today my favorite movies ever. Hope the toys will follow the Kenner models and I'm sure this game will be awesome. Like I said, hope the kids of the new generation can enjoy the Jurassic Park glory like we did (90's kids).

This could truly be the best JP game ever! The graphics are stunning, the models too, and the ability to have offsprings intruiges me. The movement from the video seems a little odd, but I'm sure they'll repair that before release.
So, I can't wait (Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyy!), and like MrHappy, I hope this will be playable on Xbox too.

Awesome. The first JPOG was fantastic(got it for PS2) and I can't wait for Operations. I like how the Tyrannosaurus' were living in families, not as solitary hunters like the first one.

Like this to me is almost as exciting as the actual movie its self :P i played countless hours of the original and i still play it every now and again one of the greatest games of my childhood.
P.S am i the only one who would block them in with mountains and watch stuff have the "death scenes" :P

I'd imagine it would be on windows pc first, because its the easiest to set up games on, but over time and by the time its out of pre alpha in in alpha or beta it may be out on Mac, the other game consoles like x box wii playstation, will come online well after that, perhaps maybe 2015, JP4-- I mean JW is out, to coincide with the movie, COURSE it is also a fan "non-profit" game so... it may never hit consoles outside of the computer... or it might... time will tell...

I didnt mention prehistoric preserve,almost all of JPO's dinosaur models come from a set called Daz3d dinosaur bundle and predator vs prey bundle,give them a google and compare to jpo's facebook,they are clearly trying to take credit for these and without a license to use them they could get sued.
The Dilophosaurus comes from turbosquid,they even used the creators renders and put there logo on it.

I can say JPO is not fake. It is a true project that will end up becoming reality. About the models, we're using our own, as most of them are created by team members. There are some cases we use someone else's work, but ALWAYS WITH PERMITION!

umm check out the link 2 posts up,they arent your models.They are Daz3d dinosaur models that are being edited in a sculpt program,do you have a indie game license to use them? because you cant share a 3d mesh of a product without one and they will most likley sue you (using your facebook as evidence for starters).

I am always hesitant about fan created projects due to the fact that they usually lack qualities that completely finalize and maintain the consistency of the gameplay (I.e. Game feeling like you are always playing a demo even though it is completed and seemingly unfixable glitches.) Other than that I will definitely be giving it a try because Operation Genesis is my favorite game of all time.

Jurassic World: What We Know So Far

What do we really know about Jurassic World? Well, thanks to a recent tweet by director Colin Trevorrow, we now know that Jurassic World takes place 22 years after the events of Jurassic Park and that the film is aiming to be a 'sci-fi terror' adventure. Check out Trevorrow's tweet below:
Aside from its time period, the plot for Jurassic World is still unknown. Before the script for the film went through vigorous re-writes, Trevorrow had teased the prospect of returning to Isla Nublar – the island which the first Jurassic Park took place on. However, since the re-writes, it's unclear whether or not we will still be returning to Nublar or not.


This article will detail the (rumor-free) current, official facts surrounding the plot, cast, characters and dinosaurs of Jurassic World. Enjoy...
What do we know about the cast so far?
Currently, the only confirmed actors to have a part in Jurassic World are: Bryce Dallas Howard, Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson. Chris Pratt and Irrfan Khan are currently in talks for roles, but neither have announced their official involvement yet.
Josh Brolin was at one point in talks for the role Chris Pratt is now testing for, but Brolin abandoned the project in light of a more appealing opportunity with the next Star Wars film (reports suggest).
It's also worth noting that Idris Elba had been rumored to be in talks for a role in the film as well, but in a recent interview, Elba put those rumors to rest by denying any involvement with the project entirely – much to our disappointment, I might add.
Whether Pratt scores the role or not has yet to be seen, but his odds are sounding good from what we hear.


What do we know about the characters so far?
We only really have a rough idea of two of the characters which we'll see in Jurassic World. The first being Bryce Dallas Howard's character, whose name remains a mystery. But in term of her bio, what we know is that she's described as being a smart, corporate scientist.
The other character we're aware of is a 'rugged, ex-military type' named Owen, whose unknown plans are foiled by Bryce’s character. If Chris Pratt gets the role, this is the character he’s set to play.


Will any of the original Jurassic Park cast return in Jurassic World?
To be honest, nobody knows for sure. What we do know is that Laura Dern has confirmed she will not be returning in JW, while the possibility of seeing Jeff Goldblum return is more likely, especially after this recent interview he took part in. As far as Sam Neill is concerned, well, let's just say don't get your hopes up. Sam has neither confirmed or denied a possible return to the franchise, but from what we hear, his return is an unlikely one at this point.


What do we know about the Dinosaurs so far?
Unfortunately everyone involved on the Jurassic World bandwagon has remained tight-lipped when asked about what new and old Dinosaurs will be featured in the film. The only real information we've been given came to us from Jurassic Park Dinosaur consultant and Paleontologist Jack Horner, who recently reiterated in an interview that the new Dinosaur will scare the crap out of us. Horner was reluctant to provide any further hints as to what this new Dino could be.
As far as classic Dinosaurs go, it's safe to assume we'll be seeing a return of the infamous Tyrannosaurus Rex, given its return to the title logo and the fact that Colin Trevorrow has expressed interest in this particular theropod.
Velociraptors would also be expected, but it is possible this new Dinosaur Horner has been teasing us with could overtake the 6 foot turkey in the new film as being the 'brains behind the operation'. Time will tell as more details are revealed.


What can we expect in terms of tone and homage to the previous films?
According to Jurassic World visual consultant Rick Carter, this fourth Jurassic Park film will have the 'same DNA' as the previous three films – meaning we can expect similar themes, cinematic experiences and scores in Jurassic World as we saw with the previous trilogy – nothing too outlandish. Basically, Jurassic World will be an evident addition to the Jurassic Park franchise and not its own, new entity.
What do we still need to know?
Well, there are many questions we still want answers to. Everyone involved in the project is remaining quiet and the level of secrecy surrounding this film are on par with other upcoming big blockbusters. We'll be stuck with rumors and fan concoctions for the next few months as filming gets under way, but hopefully soon, Trevorrow, Marshall or Universal will fill us in a little bit more on what to expect and what the film will ultimately be about.

As long as they don't replace the Raptors as small, intelligent, pack hunting theropods, Troodon are welcome. If they're too similar, it won't be positive for the movie. They need to be rather unique or have habits never seen before.

Looks like Idris Elba won't be in Jurassic World

Unfortunately, despite our hopes, Idris Elba has confirmed that the rumor of his potential involvement in Jurassic World was in fact just that - a rumor. Nothing more, nothing less. In a recent interview with The Huffington Post, Idris talks about a number of films he's been rumored to be a part of as well as his hopes of someday starring in his own superhero movie. But, unfortunately for those who had their hopes up to see him in 2015's Jurassic Park 4, he doesn't sound like he'll be taking part any time soon.
Here's what Idris had to say when asked about Jurassic World:



HP: Your name was mentioned in conjunction with "Jurassic World," but your publicist said it wasn't true. I'll just say that I wish that were true.
Idris: No, it's just a rumor.
I liked the idea.
So this new "Jurassic Park," it's really going to be made?
Yes.
Really?
Yes.
Wow.
Dissapointing to say the least, as many of us could have envisioned him as a major role in Jurassic World, but as with all casting rumors, its best not get your hopes up until an official confirmation has been made.
In related news to hopefully brighten the mood, one of the confirmed actors for Jurassic World, Ty Simpkins tweeted yesterday that he was reading the script for JW and described it as simply "Awesomness", check it out:

Now, it's a true shame Idris won't star in JW, I was really hoping. More disappointing is the fact that he didn't even know about this new Jurassic Park. Well, whatever... I'm just with Ty Simpkins, supporting him with all my strength. Furthermore, his tweet reassure me again about Colin Trevorrow and JW.

Well, of course I hope Ty is right in his excitement about the script. I'm just not going to raise my expectations because, you know, (and I mean no disrespect), he's just a young boy, and I am a 32 year old guy, which means I am a "little" harder to please.
As for Idris not being in the movie, I have no opinion about it. I don't know much of his job to become excited. I just hope they respect JP's 'legacy', no matter who is cast.

I barely remember him acting in Prometheus,even thou I saw it twice lol,I mean,he could be a good actor and also a good looking guy ideal for JP scenes,you know I imagine him fighting out with raptors or some other bad predators,but that's ok for me,I hope they'll choose some other good guy instead of him.
I don't even know much about his career,and I'm not so desperate he will no longer join the movie.

Jurassic World will have the same 'DNA' as the last three films says Rick Carter

Visual consultant on Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World, Rick Carter recently spoke about his involvement with the film as well as his current work on J.J Abrams' Star Wars: Episode VII. Speaking with the folks at ComingSoon.net, this is what Carter had to say about his work on Jurassic World, confirming that the fourth Jurassic Park film will carry on with the same DNA of the previous three films:
"I came into that one as a visual consultant," he says. "I just worked for four months to get it going. To try and visualize where this could go next and make sure it had some the same -- literally the same -- DNA of the previous movies. Ed Verreaux is the production designer on that one. He did the third 'Jurassic Park'. We've worked together going all the way back to 'Back to the Future'. It's a real hand-off between the two of us. He's the production designer and the director's a new director named Colin Trevorrow. He's a big, big talent."
The fact that Carter confirms that Jurassic World will have the same 'DNA' as Jurassic Park - Jurassic Park 3 is reassuring. You can read the entire interview over at ComingSoon.net!

Marko, as I get it, they mean they are going to emulate the "atmosphere" of the previous movies. It means the new sequel will still look and sound like Jurassic Park.
As for me, they could leave out JPIII's "DNA". I may be mistaken, but, to me, the third movie didn't seem to keep the previous two's DNAs at all.

Ok I think since that we now know that the 4th one will have the same DNA,it's great!
I mean I like all how the previous movies were created and acted,which is the fundamental part,in its genre,JP has always been the best Dino's movie,for its great special effect and the acting of the high livel actors is very good.
Another 1 or 2 months and they'll be starting to roll finally this Winter.

Jack Horner discusses the 'scary' new Dinosaur in Jurassic World

In the midst of all the Jurassic World casting news and rumors, we finally get some news pertaining to the actual Dinosaurs which we'll see in Jurassic Park 4. In a recent interview with Face the State, Paleontologist and 'Dino-consultant' for the last three Jurassic Park films, Jack Horner spoke briefly about the 'scary new Dinosaur' we can expect to see in Jurassic World. Now, this isn't the first time Horner has teased us with info on the new Dinosaurs we'll be exposed to in Jurassic World. Back in April of this year, Horner teased us with the announcement of a new Dinosaur so scary, that we'll "want to keep the lights on after watching this movie".

It's been a while since then, almost a full year and things on the JP4 front have certainly changed a bit. But with a new title and new script, is it possible that Jack's "scary new Dinosaur" could not have made the cut after the new development process? Apparently not. The interview below dates back to November 14th, and Horner mentions that he's read the script for Jurassic World and again, reiterates that there's a "scary new Dinosaur in it", that he thinks everyone will love. Unfortunately Jack doesn't reveal what the Dinosaur will actually be, but a lot of fans have their minds set on "Troodon", which was featured in Jurassic Park: The Game. Though, nobody knows for sure.

At first, seeing the pic, I thought the new dinosaur is going to be Lythronax, but then, reading the post, and seeing the video, I couldn't really tell what dinosaur it is going to appear in JW. However, I really hope it'll be the Troodon.

I think it's Mosasaurus. Troodon doesn't seem scary enough for me, also Lythronax is too similar to the T-rex to entertain moviegoers imho. :-)

Rex dwarfed Lythronax. I doubt it would be a marine creature, Troodon could be scary, smarter than Velociraptor, nocturnal, whats not scary about that?

Troodon would be a good choice because it does not interfere with Tyrannosaurus' role as apex predator like Spinosaurus, Giganotosaurus, or another large theropod would. I wouldn't mind Troodon.






Give it some top quality CGI and this could be terrifying.

True, I would love to see Troodon in JW. But, wouldn't it interfere with Velociraptor's role as an intelligent, quick pack hunter?

In previous movies have been 2 main ideas that have been evolving from movie to movie.
Bigger and Smartest

Bigger:
Jurassic Park starts with a T-Rex
The Lost World show us 2 T-Rex
Jurassic Park III brings a Spinosaurus, able to kill a T-Rex (not judging if I agree or not)

Smartest:
Raptors can open doors on the first movie
On the second one they coordinates their attacks
The third one shows the raptors smartest than ever. They can make traps and communicate.

To me it look that both ideas are going to evolve for Jurassic World and they are going to be mixed up in a dinosaur that combines scale and intelligence: Utahraptor

Provably the new dinosaur will be a small hunter, because T-Rex or Spinosaur can be scarier, but you know they are coming because the "PUM!" when they walk, a small dinosaur, Like an Eoraptor, Velociraptor, Troodon, Utahraptor, the little ones, who can appear an desappear in a second. that ones are more scarier.

I don't know if I am reading into this too much, but at 12:02 Horner says that "He's just glad Alan Grant hasn't gotten eaten YET". Does this possibly mean that Alan (Sam Neil) makes an appearance in the film? I sure hope so :)

I was thinking about this and actually it doesn't necessary have to be a carnivorous animal... an Ankylosaurus could be scary as well. If it's protecting her eggs in an area our protagonists have to pass through... it could smash her tail through a wall...
I'm not saying this will be the scary new dinosaur they're going to introduce, but maybe we should think outside the box?

I'm not really crazy about Troodon. A bit too small, I think Utahraptor would do very nicely, though. And if they wanted more room for creative liscence, a more obscure Dromaeosaurid like Achillobator would be awesome (a personal favorite of mine). As for larger Theropods, I'd be satisfied with any or the larger apex's, like Tyrannosaurus. It would be cool to see a mid-point of the two sizes as well, like Monolophosaurus.

I find Utahraptor too close to the Velociraptors already seen in the movie(both in size and general apperance). A mid-sized predator would be cool as a side threat(Ceratosaurus would be my first choice).

One word: Deinocheirus. beleived to be 11-12 feet tall at the HIP. Also beleived to be an ornithomimid, that world be a terrifying beast to behold.

toos ls dinosaurios mencionados son muy buenos candidatos pero nos estamos olvidando de los dinosaurios marinos, que tal si para esta pelicula buscan algo nuevo, algo diferente que en la otras peliculas no aya aparecido, como el liopleurodon, o el ictiosaurio o tros mas, es bastante probable.

The carnotaurus was in JP TLW novel but wasn't seen in the movie. Then we heard rumors that the carno would have a small apperence in JP lll but it was replaced by Cera.
So if the carno isn't in JW, I might just flip out!!!

I also hope it is Carnotaurus with the camo ablilty. They should also introduce Toodon, or some larger raptor. I really would like to see a water reptile as well. As for Rex vs Spino, we've had rex a lot, I'd really like to see Spinosaurus make a return.

Carnotaurus would be cool.  Troodon could be scary if done right, but I know Horner isn't referring to a mosasaur because, well, those aren't dinosaurs and Horner would not be calling them dinosaurs.  I honestly don't think we'll be able to guess accurately but the speculation is fun.

BD Wong Returning to the World of Jurassic Park?

Yet another Jurassic World casting rumor has surfaced via Twitter last night. Responding to a fan question about the Jurassic Park character 'Dr. Wu', asking "What happened to Henry Wu after Jurassic Park?" the actor who portrayed the character in the first film, BD Wong responded by saying "Who knows? Stay tuned..." - teasing a potential spoiler of his return to the world of Jurassic Park in Jurassic World. Check out the tweet below:



Now, it's possible Wong could just be leading us on in a teasing manner, but he could in fact have a role in the fourth Jurassic Park film. Whether it be no more than a cameo role or not, it would be cool to see the return of one of the original characters. Also, since Wong played one of the genetic scientists responsible for bringing Dinosaurs back to life in Jurassic Park, it could fit the hypothetical new plot synopsis in which a new park is being constructed / operating. Perhaps he gets hired on by BioSyn after the fall out of InGen? Who knows!

Chris Pratt and Irrfan Khan in talks to star in Jurassic World!

Guardian of the Galaxy's Chris Pratt is currently in talks for the lead male role in Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World! Following Josh Brolin's departure from the cast running, Pratt is being eyed to take his place and portray the role of Owen, a character being described as a rugged, ex-military type who's unknown plans run amock as a result of Bryce Dallas Howard's character, who is described as a smart, corporate scientist. Perhaps Owen's goal is to shut down the established Jurassic Park and Howard's character is bent on keeping the park running, before the Dinosaurs break loose?
Chris Pratt Oscars List - P 2012
In addition to Chris Pratt's potential involvement, Irrfan Khan is also in talks to play a supporting role to Pratt's if he gets the part. We still don't yet know the plot for Jurassic World, but the recent character descriptions have shed a little more light on what could be.
Jurassic World is expected to start filming around April, 2014.

Please, "stop the engines". Less than a month ago, in the Nick Robinson's piece of news, JW was supposedly scheduled to start filming "this Winter". Now it's around April 2014 (next Spring)?

I hope if Irrfan Khan makes the cast that he has a supporting role. He was good in Life of Pi, but in The Amazing Spider-Man you couldn't understand a word he said, and he said several important things.
 I'm really excited about the direction this movie is taking!

Josh Brolin Abandons Jurassic World

I've been avoiding posting this news, but more and more sources are claiming this to be accurate - Josh Brolin has apparently dropped out of Jurassic World, leaving the role of a character named "Owen" up for grabs.

 Why did Brolin ditch the highly anticipated Jurassic Park 4? No one knows, but the folks over at Schmoesknow (who initially broke the story) seem to think Brolin has his sights set on Star Wars: Episode VII instead. Both franchises have massive followings and both would offer him the type of exposure he seems to be chasing. Perhaps the role of "Owen" isn't one that lasts too long (Raptor food?) and Brolin is looking for a sustainable role which can carry him on through a number of films.
 Whatever the case may be, we're sad to see such a promising actor leave the running for Jurassic World. Fingers crossed we don't hear a similar update from Idris Elba - who is also, currently rumored to be in talks for a role.

Had his attachment to the project been official before? Had he signed a contract? As far as we knew, he MAY have been in talks to participate in the movie. So, I don't see this as "abandoning". I see this as merely "giving up", and that is, if he had really been in talks with the crew.

Bryce Dallas Howard Officially Joins Jurassic World Cast!

The Jurassic World movie news continues as we can now report Bryce Dallas Howard's official involvement in the fourth Jurassic Park film! The young actress confirmed her involvement recently in an interview with USA Today, in which she revealed that:

"They're relaunching the Jurassic Park franchise, so I'll be chasing dinosaurs. That's going to happen next year,"
 Bryce mentions that "They're relaunching the Jurassic Park franchise" - which could just be a generalized statement, referring to the Studio attempting to breathe new life into the popular franchise, or Bryce could have dropped a bombshell, revealing that the franchise could be facing a fresh start. Hopefully, Jurassic World is a continuation of the established story line, rather than a straight-up relaunch.
 Earlier in September, we had reported her potential involvement, with high hopes, so it's nice to see she got the role! Bryce Dallas Howard joins Ty Simpkins and Nick Robinson as leads for Colin Trevorrow's Jurassic World which hits theaters June 12th, 2015!

 This is almost definitely a generalized statement; I doubt they'd actually re-launch the whole franchise.
 She will be "chasing dinosaurs?" More like they will be chasing her!

Cool. Chasing dinosaurs huh? Maybe she dropped another bombshell and revealed they'll be going after dinosaurs to capture them(for a zoo, wild life reserve, etc). Either way, nice to see the cast forming.

Jason Schwartzman to Join the Jurassic World Cast?

The casting updates continue for Universal's Jurassic World! The fourth installment to the hugely successful Jurassic Park franchise, being directed by Colin Trevorrow, has already obtained the talents of Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Bryce Dallas Howard and a rumored Josh Brolin and Idris Elba.
 Adding to the current list, we're now hearing that American actor, Jason Schwartzman is also being eyed for a potential role in Jurassic World, according to Hypable - who claim this rumor comes to them from a very reliable source, close to the project. After Hypable apparently reached out to Schwartzman's publicist about the rumor, this is what they had to say:

After word reached our ears of Schwartzman's potential involvement, we immediately contacted his publicists, who stated that they could not comment on the news. Let's put this another way: They didn't say "no."
 Considering his publicist did not deny the rumor completely, and avoided discussing the situation, that leads us to believe the inclusion of Schwartzman in Jurassic World is a very possible one.
 Until of course we hear any solid confirmation, we'll continue to refer to this update as a rumor. We'll continue to keep you updated on all the latest happenings with Jurassic World, right here, on JurassicWorld-Movie.com!

Potentially leaked Jurassic World storyboards and artwork reveal new Dinosaur?

Yesterday, we received word of some potential Jurassic World movie storyboards and concept artwork which was apparently stumbled upon by a few dedicated Jurassic Park fans. Now, though these images have not been officially ruled out as "official", after some further investigation, I can safely say that the artwork is somehow - in a way - linked to the Jurassic World film. More accurately, the artwork below is more likely remnants of concepts for the Jurassic World pitch trailer, which made the news rounds last month.
 The following images come to us from our friends at JurassicParkIV.org, who have asked that I keep the name of the artist a secret to protect their identity. After checking out the actual source for the images, I can say that the artist was, at one point, involved with the early development of Jurassic World.
 The first image, depicts a character, standing in shock as (what looks to be) a T-rex comes barging through a wall of trees in the second, right behind his fallen comrade. Very Jurassic Park-esque indeed:

 Now, it is important to note that these potentially "official" storyboards probably will have zero bearing on the actual film, and instead were used as concepts for the pitch trailers, which were shown years ago to get Universal interested in re-vamping the Jurassic Park franchise in the first place. That's not to say we won't see T-rex return in Jurassic World however, as the new logo already insinuates his return.
 Next up, the crew at JPIV.org uncovered another image, from the same source, which is also said to be linked to the same project the above storyboards were linked to. The image below is supposed concept artwork of what looks to be an Allosaurus. Granted, I'm no Paleontologist, but it certainly doesn't look like a Rex to me, you be the judge:

 Like I said, I was hesitant to post this news, as the validity of the images shown was a bit dodgy, but after speaking to the folks who posted the find and gathering more information, I feel more comfortable promoting these pieces as at least something to do with Jurassic World - in some capacity.
 Furthermore, our friends at JurassicParkIV.org also followed up today with another find, claiming that the following images could also be related to Jurassic World - however, I remain doubtful of this next one until further confirmation can be provided. Regardless, for the sake of debate and discussion, check out the following:

 Regardless if these images turn out to be authentic or not, it's exciting to note that Jurassic World will begin filming in a matter of months as we enter the Winter season. So, expect some truly exciting news soon!

Interesting. It's entirely possible that the images are legit. Still another two years. Can't wait for it to come out.

Hard to say if they're legit or not, but they're cool looking.
 The third one is an allosaur of some sort, no doubt about that. But Allosaurus itself is a little small to be the new villain. Now, if they want T-rex to kill the new villain eventually, him killing an Allosaurus will be more believable and likable than if he killed, say, Spinosaurus.

I think that the third picture,the "allosaurus" is 80% match with the dinotopia giganotosaurus.just watch some picture from it.so i say that the first three pictureis made for dinotopia,not for JW.
 and i think that the last picture is a fan art.

The allosaurus here looks a similar to the allosaurus from the scrapped 2011 toy line. Maybe it was concept art for Hasbro?

I think the first three are legit. Last one definitely seems like fanart, but still cool.
 And to Jurassicdidier, that is fake. You really shouldn't believe everything you see...

I'm going off Operation Genesis here, but Allosaurus doesn't seem too much smaller than Tyrannosaurus. If they did us Allosaurus in the new movie, they could portray him faster and more vicious, while Tyrannosaurus can be bigger and more powerful. That would be interesting to see.

Acrocanthosaurus-Rex, here are the overall sizes of Rex and Allo(both max and lower estimates).
 Rex- 40-50 ft and 8-12+ tons
 Allo- 29-39 ft long and 1-5 tons
 The Allosaurus from JPOG was substantially bigger and more robust than the real thing.

Yes, I do know Allosaurus was way bigger than it should have been in JPOG. But Jurassic Park has already made dinosaurs bigger than they should be (Velociraptor), so it wouldn't be unlike the franchise to make a dinosaur like Allosaurus bigger, if they even included it at all. I will be very interested to see what happens.

Josh Brolin being eyed for a lead role in Jurassic World?

According to The Wrap, much-in-demand Hollywood actor Josh Brolin (Goonies, Men In Black 3) is allegedly being eyed for the lead role in Universal's forthcoming Jurassic Park sequel directed by Colin Trevorrow, Jurassic World, due for release 12th June 2015.

 If this rumor turns out to be true, Josh Brolin will join an already impressive cast including Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins, David Oyelowo and Bryce Dallas Howard. Jeff Goldblum's return and Idris Elba's place within the movies cast has yet to be confirmed.
 Along with the possibility of Jurassic World being set on Isla Nublar, the same island as the original movie, this Jurassic Park sequel is shaping up to be quite promising, on paper at least.

Two weeks ago I was in heaven, with all the cast news about JW coming up in bunches. Now, silence reigns again. lol I'm sooo looking forward to the time, hopefully not so far away, when news will be pouring weekly, showering us with pictures of the sets, news on the stage of the production, interviews, all of that. It shouldn't take long now. Hopefully.

Idris Elba to star in Jurassic World?

A new casting rumor has ignited speculation that Pacific Rim star, Idris Elba is in talks for a role in Jurassic World. The rumor comes from a source, whose fairly close to Jurassic World's development - at least in terms of the casting updates.
 That being said, some credibility can be lent to this rumor, however until we hear of any official confirmation, we urge readers to take this news with a huge grain of salt.

 It's been common knowledge for a while now that Jurassic World Director Colin Trevorrow, and Producers Steven Spielberg and Frank Marshall have been extremely busy building the ensemble cast for Jurassic Park 4, so it's not totally out of the question that the trio would be eyeing such talent as Idris Elba; whose starred in a few high profile films recently - Pacific Rim, Prometheus and THOR to name a few.
 Without a doubt, Idris Elba would be a great addition to the cast and would lend some serious talent to the film's core. But again, until any official outlet provides confirmation on this rumor, we'll remain skeptical.

Elba's a good actor, his character in Pacific Rim was a badass. I'm guessing that since David Oyelowo is in Star Wars Episode 7, he won't be able to do JW, and his character was recast with Idris Elba.

Nick Robinson Joins the Jurassic World Movie Cast!

The casting updates for Jurassic World continue to roll in as we receive word of yet another lead role being snagged by The Kings of Summer's Nick Robinson - an 18 year old actor who is currently starring in ABC's family series Melissa and Joey. Robinson is rumored to be playing the role of Ty Simpkins' brother (who was also recently confirmed as a lead for Jurassic World only two days ago), according to THR.

 It would seem Jurassic World will follow in Jurassic Park's footsteps by catering to the younger generation and having a strong family foundation embedded in the plot. Bryce Dallas Howard is currently in talks for a lead role as well, but we have yet to receive official confirmation whether or not she has signed with the Studio.
 The vigorous casting will continue as Jurassic Park 4 / Jurassic World is scheduled to start filming this Winter in Hawaii, so be sure to keep an eye, right here, on JurassicWorld-Movie.com for the latest news and updates!

Don't know this guy, but I'm very happy about Howard, and Simpkins is all right, so I think I trust them about this. Really hope to see some of the old faces too.

It doesn't matter. Dr. malcolm and dr. Grand have to be on this movie (or at least one of them). The rest of the cast its the same

Seems like Trevorrow is making a point of casting some newbies. If Jurassic World is a success, this will boost not only his own rep but those of Robinson and Simpkins, and any other new actors.
 To me, Robinson and Simpkins' castings are very exciting. We have yet to see brothers in the Jurassic Park franchise. We have Tim and Lex, brother and sister, and Eric and Kelly are only-children. This will be a very different dynamic. Kudos to Trevorrow for these decisions!

I don't know this guy well(I know who he is, that's about it), but I'm happy to see some good progress with the movie. Casting is always an important step.

Most of the cast from the original jurassic park film were reletivly unknown actors before the movie.
 It avoids them being typecast to previous things they have done. So its cool. It will hopefully make a name for them as being the dudes from jurassic world :)
 Like sam neil . No matter what he plays he will always be alan grant haha

Seems like a good casting for me. Simpkins and Robinson, both look not like usual Disney-teens, they look like serious child-actors. I've never seen Robinson before, but I was impresseed by Simpkins several times. Child actors have been always decent to good in JP, so I will anticipate good actings from these brothers ^^
