A comment on the Think Progress study which indicates that homophobes have shorter life spans

A study at " ThinkProgress" did a study that showed homophobes die younger, as do the LGBT persons who suffer from their hatred and bigotry. The anti-gay attitudes of the respondents may not hold extreme forms of homophobia but their examined " moral approval" or rather their " moral disapproval" of homosexuality is just as bigoted. There is no good reason why they should be "morally disapproving" of gay people and maybe they should mind their own business when it comes to the romantic and sexual lives of LGBT people. Sodomy is not a "sin" and they do hate homos and they do not have anything to "repent" of or "perish" for and homo sex is not a "sin" to the religious people in the photo who are holding demoralizing signs at Pride marches.  They would fit right in with the countless other homophobic Christian denominations, sects, branches, splinter-groups and movements that are fundamentalist such as the Orthodox Mormons, Jehovah's Witnesses, Seventh-day Adventists, the Church of Christ, Southern Baptist, Amish, Assemblies of God etc., or even more better, the Westboro Baptist Church of Topeka, Kansas. I'm sure that Fred and Shirley Phelps-Roper would love to have these people as members of their bizarre cult-like, religiously-inspired hate group.  Many Christians may object to the methods in which the WBC uses to get their point across although I highly doubt that they disagree with the Church's homophobic, narrow-minded and anti-sexual attitudes. Many Christians, usually fundamentalists, are just as equally disgusting people as the WBC. Fundamentalist Christians whether they are involved in politics or not seem to spend their time either forcing LGBT persons to repress themselves or kicking them out of the denomination that religious LGBT persons belong to for who they and for refusing to repress themselves, denying them their civil rights and even opposing their very existence and seek to wipe them from the face of the earth which is what is happening in Uganda due to the mind-manipulation that this country's residents are getting from American evangelical Christian missionaries.








Organized religion is just another way for people to hold on their hatreds and bigotries towards people whom they do not understand. It's no wonder why so many young people are abandoning organized religion altogether.  Since many religious persons, particularly fundamentalists, think that their religious beliefs and practices have been dictated to them by a deity that never changes it's mind about anything and since such beliefs and practices in their religious texts are not subject to reform, the world will abandon religion and continue to progress without you. The progress of granting civil rights to the LGBT community will continue as fanatical religions begin to die out. It's not surprising that both homophobes and white racists die younger, being a hateful bigot takes a lot of work.
