Fundamentalist Christian marriages

Fundamentalist Christians who are involved with conservative politically and socially conservative groups want to prevent same-sex couples from legally marrying, because they think that Yahweh created marriage as a special privilege that was only meant to be for heterosexual, monogamous couples.  Some people still believe that interracial marriages or interfaith marriages or  multicultural marriages are wrong. I find it interesting that religiously-based marriages in fundamentalist Christian houses of worship don't believe that women are equal to men.  In a fundamentalist Christian marriage, It is supposed to be one man dominating one woman and any children that they have. Jesus doesn't think too highly of people who remarry, he viewed them as adulterers. The Biblical Jesus claims that people who love their families more than they love him are against him.  Paul didn't think to highly of marriage, but said that it could be allowed if a man cannot handle leading a life of repression. Paul and Jesus were most likely repressed people who never had sex with or dated anyone.  The historical Jesus and the Apostle Paul believed that Armageddon was due at any time and so marriage would not have been a concern of theirs.

Women have to be submissive to their husbands in fundamentalist Christian denominations.  A fundamentalist Christian cannot really view a woman as his equal. Paul wrote to the early Christians in his Epistles that it was Eve who was manipulated by the serpent in the Garden of Eden first, not Adam, therefore women cannot speak in church and should wait until she is home to ask her husband questions and is forbidden to serve in any type of leadership role within Christianity. Interestingly enough, Christians get divorced, so why hasn't divorce and remarriage been made illegal yet, if America is a "Christian nation" ?
